LOVE this professor. He answers any and all my questions during class and makes Astronomy seem exciting. He has instilled an excitement in me about a subject I previously had little to no interest in.

This instructor is very easy to upset. He is not very good at explaining things, and he can become impatient with the student. Often, he gets off subject, which does not allow the student to get the full benefit of the class. Take ANY other teacher for physics, or anything else for that matter.

Pontius is an awesome teacher. People complain because physics is often difficult to learn. He moves at what is really a pretty slow pace, it can just be tough to wrap your mind around the concepts. He is one of the best teachers at this school, hands down.

When I took his physics class (101 and 102), he didn't teach. He expected everyone to learn the material on their own and come to class to ask questions. His exams were impossible. I didn't like his style one bit.

He is a GREAT teacher in class. He makes the classroom fun, but he is not very good one on one. I don't think that he knows how to relate to people. Despite many efforts at asking for help, he never really helped me.

HHAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRDDDD teacher, but heck, physics is hard. Loves the stuff. You'd better be solid in math going into that course, but he's pretty helpful if you just ask.
