Love Dr.D to death! Keeps it interesting!! If you want an A you do have to put in the effort. He is very helpful with giving hints about what to expect on his tests and read the text!!! love him to death!! I studied hard and got an A so take his class:)

I had Dr. McGlynn for History of Ideas and Abnormal. If you prefer scantron tests, do not take him. Tests are mostly, if not all, essay. If you memorize everything in the chapters and lectures, you can get an A. Personally, it's just too much information to learn for each test.

He's pretty hilarious. He gives you a list of the objectives for each unit, which he takes the exam questions directly from, so at least you know what to study. All exams are essay though, and his TA grades very strictly, so you basically need to memorize the book. Going to class is a must, he covers things not in the book.

Tests are extremely hard. If you have a life at all, don't expect to do very well in this class. All essay tests, and I mean ESSAY no short answer.

Dr. McGlynn is the BOMB!! He is such a hoot. He makes History of Ideas interesting and I loved his Abnormal class. However, be prepared to study. These are not subjects that you can just skim the book and get. Going to class is a big help to get a good grade in his classes. If you have a problem, go to him and get help, he doesn't mind.

Dudley is HILIARIOUS! This class may not be your favorite for the content (as it is a history class), but you will love going to listen to what he has to say! He is just a crazy old man who loves his books :D You definitely have to study for his tests (book/notes), so don't think it will be an easy A, but I have really enjoyed the class.

His abnormal Psych class was really interesting. He gives lots of examples and case histories about things and makes it fun. There isn't a lot of homework assigned. He gives out objectives at the beginning of each new section... and as long as you know those thoroughly then you should be fine!

He's very nice & does a good job of making the material interesting. It IS still history though, so don't expect too much. Tests are 3-5 essays w/about 10 objective (matching or T/F) questions. The obj. questions require you to know details, so they're harder. Use the study guide. It can be very helpful. And go to class--it really does help!

He is a pretty cool guy, and his class isn't too hard. His study guides are the best b/c they ARE the test. No regular reading is needed (I didn't and still managed an 'A'.) However, as far as advancing your knowledge of abnormal psychology... don't expect too much.

I love Dudley! He is so nice, funny and interesting. He can be hard to hear at times, so sit close if you can. His tests are essay form and if you do and memorize the study guide you will get an A (but ~70% of the test questions are from the book, NOT lecture, so start on the study guide EARLY!)

I had Dudley from 1993-1995, and he was my favorite teacher ever. We became very good friends, and I love him a lot. Current students should consider themselves very lucky for knowing such a highly intelligent, eccentric, and kind man.
