You are only graded on 3 assignments throughout the year. He is also a tough grader and isn't lenient on his grading system at all. He is very corny as well and is kind of hard to follow with his lessons. I wouldn't take a class that he is teaching again.

Truly knows everything about history. Very old-fashioned; lectured classes and does not remind you about upcoming assignments. Still owns a flip phone, so e-mails take longer to answer. VERY hard grader, you will not get an A in this class. Great man though, very quirky and knowledgeable. Worked hard for his PhD so he will do the same to you.

He's a hit or miss. Either you like him or you don't. I didn't mind the class but I know a lot of people who did. Only 3 grades for the entire class. Lectures were fairly entertaining. He does put a lot of his own opinion into the lectures though.

Can be corny and when you first meet him you will get this feeing that the class will be horrible. Its not he is a great guy at heart and the only thing that isn't cool is that your graded on 3 assignments for the year so you cant really choke on one. See him for extra hours he can be a little harsh on grading seeing him will help.

Dr. Taylor can be very boring at times but, he knows what he is talking about & is VERY passionate about history. Not much due in class midterm, final and a research paper that he will help the students pick a topic and gave class time to work on. Very easy going and a very nice guy he cares about his students and their understanding of the subject

I love Dr. Taylor. He is animated, but he is strict too. PRINT the syllabus the first day!!!! He can get off topic sometimes or not cover things completely, but ask question! He loves that! If you hold a conversation with him, he will work with you easily.

Took him for African American History...He's very ANIMATED...he's FUNNY...He's a nice and kind heart-ed person...He leaves out parts of history sometimes, but he's very relate-able and interesting..required a LONG paper, and two tests with trick questions. You will pass his class.

Best teacher I have ever had. Does some crazy noises in class but it helps keep you awake and even makes things easier to remember. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Shows a lot of movies and his public access show. No HW except for a joke term paper and 20-question multiple choice midterm and final.

The class can sometimes be interesting and boring. He shows a lot of movies and spends a great amount of time criticizing corporations like Disney. He can be very funny at times. If you speak to him before a test he will definitely help you. If you ever have difficulty with any assignment he gives you he will go out of his way to help you.

Had him for Race, Ethnicity class at Pace. Some people couldn't stand him. I thought he was funny sometimes, kept me awake at least. Basically taught a class about Disney haha, but he relates it to his topic. He is extremely liberal, and does not hide it. His Public Access show was interesting haha.

His sound effects and constant mentioning of comic books gets very obnoxious. It's hard to take him seriously because he seems to have a very childish personality at times but he truely knows what he's talking about and if you pay attention you can learn a lot. He loves everything he teaches and that's a great quality in a teacher.

He's a total nutcase w a million sound effects on his ipod, not to mention his high-pitched yoyo voice. That being said, he knows his stuff and loves it. Pay attention and you'll learn a lot. BUT he's totally biased toward liberals and makes inappropriate remarks on conservatives, deserved or not. I don't feel like I get the whole story sometimes.

VERY NICE PROFESSOR. I would DEFINITELY take him again. He makes material fun, relatable and understandable. He gives virtually no homework and only asks of your presence and quality of work when he asks the class to write (2) papers. Take him to improve your quality of history knowledge!

Makes History come alive, He is one of the most caring and enthusastic teachers I've ever had at Pace. He is a hard grader on essays but softens up when it comes to the final grade. Definately recommend taking this professor.

He is a very weird guy but as a result makes the class VERY funny and entertaining. he is a great teacher. Midterm, Term Paper (5-7 pages), Final that are very easy for the most part if you pay attention. ALOT of videos especially disney videos. Highly recommend taking him and this class

he is honestly the best history professor I have ever had, and i've had quite a few. 1 paper and a midterm and final. He hints at what the questions will be on the final, so you know what to study. TAKE HIM! He makes class fun and interesting.. and actually wants you to learn
