I thought this class was a little challenging at first, but it was easy. Overall the instructor is very helpful, straight to the point, and lets you know how your progressing in your speechs that you give. He really does help you understand. He is a great communicator and a great teacher!I recommend him at Gateway Community & Technical. Perfect 10!

Easy grader, nice guy who reminds me of Mr. Rogers at times. He likes to hold speeches in the Ryle High school library but tries his best to relieve your nerves. He not intimidating in the least and instead really goes out of his way to accomodate you for your speeches. I highly recommend taking him.

Mr. Hamm is a wonderful professor! He makes the class very interesting and takes the intimidation out of public speaking. I would most definitely recommend him to anyone!

He makes the class fun, but is intimidating and is very tough. Very critical on grading speeches and doesn't make it easy with anyone. He does brag alot on himself and talks alot about his high school students. He isn't afraid to embarrass you in class either.

Outstanding communicator. He made the material clear. Furthermore, he was great at making everyone seem comfortable and at ease with the class. I would recommend him HIGHLY to anyone who has trouble getting up in front of people and speaking.

Very personable and has the student's best interest in mind. He will give you honest criticism, but it is not at all mean spirited. It is meant to help you. He made the class fun. I wish he was teaching all my classes!

I thought Hamm was great. He does his best to help you prepare for your speech. He is critical and sticks to the techniques but that's his job and he does it well. To the person who reamed him recently: You might have done better had you paid more attention. You could HAVE learned the difference between could OF and could HAVE. Luv ya Hamm

Mr. Hamm is EXTREMELY nice and will work with you to help you out. He does lecture a lot, and tends to be too focused on class. I'd say to loosen up and he'd be great!

He likes to intimidate his students. He is a high school speech teacher and brags alot about himself with highschool students. He is rude, arrogant towards students. Very critical on speech. He is too technical about speech. Could of been a fun class, but he likes to make it harder than what it really is. He keeps you for the whole 3 hrs & boring
