Dr. Gremler is a challenging professor. All of his exams are essay exams which makes them challenging because he wants each question answered a certain way. Make sure you go to every single class and participate. When you participate make sure you make notes of the dates and the topics that you contribute to it will only help you succeed.

Dr. G is one of the most knowledgeable professors at BG. He really makes you work but the end result is worth it! He wrote the book and always supplements lectures with funny videos. He has a bit of an ego and is not very helpful if you have an extenuating circumstance.

I love his quote about how he compares himself to a personal trainer. He says you may not like everything he makes you do, but it is his job to push you to do things that you normally wouldn't do yourself. Some students say he's full of himself, but heck, I would be too if I had as many accomplishments in life as this man. Highly recommend!

He is one of the best professors I have taken at BG. You will learn so much in this class, stuff you will actually use! The lectures are interesting and he keeps you engaged the entire time. He truly cares about his students and wants you to do well. Hands down such an amazing professor, you will love this class!

I freaking love this guy! One of my favorite professors at BG. Old school type of guy who cares a lot about his family. I learned so much from this class that I am taking him next semester for another course. Funny and corny but super smart. Exams are all essay questions and a little tricky but nothing horrible. Plays music before every class!

Dr. Dwayne Gremler is the most condescending professor I have ever had. He is very well respected in his field and let's everyone know it all the time. He gives basis exams which relate directly to a personal experience he had so if you disagree with him on any part of it, not matter the reasoning, you will be marked off points. Terrible person.

No textbook for this class, but it's still a lot of work. However, it's the best class you'll ever take and one of the best professors you'll have. Dr. Gremler is the reason I discovered my love for this field. I even secured a job right after graduation thanks to his guidance. 100% the best professor I had in all of college. HIGHLY suggest!!

As you will see on here, so many people say he is a hard grader etc. But if you're a good student, go to class, and pay attention (just like you should do in any other class) this will be one of the best classes you take. He gives study guides for every exam which is exactly what you will see on test day. He is so intelligent, you will learn a lot.

The class overall was not that hard. There is a lot of reading and you need to be in class. But he is the hardest grade in the world. He is harsh, cocky, not helpful, and in my opinion he put a students down. Asked for help during office hours and acted like I was disrupting him. Very hard class - you WILL need the book, and as long as you read the chapter and articles you will be fine. I learned a lot of relevant material I can use in my career, but it was also a LOT of work. Group project is weighted heavily and will be a lot of work - choose your group members wisely! If you want an easy class don't take this prof.

say I have never gotten so much out of a class in my entire four years at BGSU. Dr. Gremler teaches his classes in such a way that promotes a better understanding of the material through detailed class discussions where students become very involved. Tough grader, but simply put... the best prof Ive ever had, Take him it will be worth it.

Dr. Gremler is honestly the best professor I have taken at this university. Everyone says if you put the work in you will get a lot out of a class, I never believed this until I took Dr. G. He makes you work very hard but you will learn a ton and he will help you out where he can, even beyond the classroom. STRONGLY RECOMMEND!

Dr. Gremler is a great guy, and willing to help in any way he can. Tests are essay exams, but he provides great study guides. Class is not "easy" but is worth taking if you put in the effort. You will learn a lot, and Dr. Gremler will remember you and help you as a reference if you are a very good student for him. Highly recommended from me.

Not the worst professor ever but not the best. Harsh grader. You can show that you know all the material by identifying and defining terms properly on exams (which should be seen as most important)but if he doesn't like the specific example you relate the concept to he penalizes too much. Gets snappy with students when asked to clarify concepts too

This is by far the worst professor I have ever had because I turned in a paper late by an hour because of a personal accident that happened and he basically told me off and made me feel awful for even trying to turn my paper in. It came down to him making me state my grade on my paper without him even grading it, it was just so rude and awful.

All I have to say is that the blueprints were difficult, the exams were rough, but in the end I received a great job in downtown Toledo, with my office looking over 5/3 field...all because of Gremler's class and the certification I received for taking it!

Amazing teacher! Really knows what he is talking about and uses videos for examples everyday to keep the class from being dry. Need to read the book (online quizzes) but it will pay off big time for the tests which are a hour and forty-five minute essays.
