Prejudice and stereotyping was one of the best classes I've taken at FSU. Professor Ashby makes it such an easy topic to understand, as long as you go to class and listen to her lectures (not hard when she's cracking jokes), you will completely understand everything. Tests were based off of lectures and I never touched the textbook - SHE IS AMAZING

Dr. Plant is just fantastic! She's very knowledgeable, gives concise lectures, and teaches a truly eye-opening course. Prejudice & Stereotyping involves three tests and a small group project. Tests were moderately difficult, but she prepares you well. Overall, a fascinating course on some powerful subjects with one of the best professors around!

Her tests are extremely difficult. I would study for 3-4 hours and constantly get a C. However, she does provide extra credit opportunities. Not enough to change anything drastically tho. She's nice and seems like she enjoys teaching. Her tests have a certain technique that makes it hard to understand how to answer the questions. Good luck!

Good teacher, interesting readings, active class discussions. A lot of work is expected for the course. One complaint: Students are not given enough clear feedback about their performance (how they're doing, how they can improve) in the course along the way.

This class is not bad at all as long as you go to class and take notes. She makes classes pretty interesting and her lectures are powerpoints, but she does not post them online. If you want to do good on the tests just study the definitions from the book, go over your notes and you're set. Easy class. Great teacher.

If you got to class and take good notes you don't need to buy the book. I have an "A" and I have yet to read a chapter from my brand new, $85, hardcover, full color textbook. If you don't get at least a "B" in this class...well that's very sad. Dr. Plant is one of the most straight forward professors I've had. There are no surprises on her tests.

Dr. Plant was an awesome teacher. Her powerpoint lectures are very organized and easy to understand. Tests are on the lectures and bold words from the book. I'd say in order to get an A in this class you'd have to have pretty good attendance (lectures are not available online).
