I wrote a lame/lazy senior thesis - Ed told me as such, flat out said I would fail (i.e. not graduate) if I didn't do a heavy rewrite. It was jarring at first, but spending the some long days and sleepless nights doing the work I should have done in the first place was a character building experience which truly benefited me. Ed's a good teacher.

I don't know what anyone is talking about with this professor. I have never actually disliked a teacher in my life until I took one of his classes. He rude, opinionated and you need take his option as your own or he doesn't really like you. Also, he allows now room for personal opion or writing style. scribbles on your essays and write dreadful!

Looking back, this guy was the worst teacher I had at St A's. By way of reference, I stayed on the Dean's list for most of my four years. Gleason was arrogant to the point where you wondered if he had some sort of personality disorder.

Had him for freshman english. Really boring class. Didn't require any textbooks and instead gave us song lyrics to analyze and ridiculous articles to read. Wasn't a very interesting class. Makes you "dumb down" your writing to the point where you don't even feel like you're writing college papers. Really into grammar.

I thought that Gleason was a really nice person, but a really awful teacher. His classes were so boring and we NEVER discussed anything actually pertinent to the class. The amount of reading we did was RIDICULOUS! Anything I learned from the class was from my own work and not from anything Gleason taught or did.

Prof. Gleason is definitely my favorite professor on Campus. I've had him for quite a few classes and every single one of them was fantastic. He seems to love teaching and care about his students-- hilarious too, every tangent, in some strange way, related back to the material. If you enjoy actually BEING a student, take one of his classes.

I thoroughly enjoyed Prof Gleason's instruction - I had him for a lit class, too. I disagree with the person who said he only loves his English majors, cuz I was a CJ major and I thought he took an interest in all of us. I also enjoyed his jazz music.

Terrible teacher who loves his English majors only!!!! My roommate (3.9 GPA, top ten in class) was forced to drop his class his senior year because he kept failing him. Gleason apologized to him when he withdrew and learned his GPA. Don't do it!!!
