Dr. Johnson is a great teacher that uses his past Management experience as practical examples for learning. I really enjoyed his lectures; he uses humor to teach, which makes the class entertaining while you learn. He retired this year so he will be missed.

I cannot believe the negative comments on Dr. Johnson. Yes, he does mention Bloomingdales, among other things, quite often but it's always used in a practical sense. He's one of the best teachers I've had and if you pay attention, you might actually learn something.

I just can't believe all the negative comments! This class was great! If you care one iota about business management, you will find his lectures interesting. I learned so much from Dr. Johnson's experience. The man has done it all!

I enjoyed every session. He knows his stuff and makes sure you need to know what's important as well. He writes down what's important from the text and lectures. He may repeat the same scenarios at Bloomingdales,Blue Cross, etc. but you can learn a lot from this man and his jokes ARE funny. Great teacher all around. Highly recommended.

I loved him! He can be long-winded, but you can learn so much from his stories. He's a little corny, but he tells you EXACTLY what to study. Attendance isn't manadatory, but necessary to do well on the tests. And be sure to READ, and read everything in the boxes. The paper is easy as long as you follow the directions. I got an A in the class.

This class was extremely frustrating. I thought it was going to be an easy A...well, it's not. Make sure you go to class and try to memorize everything he ever says. His tests are over 80 questions and are all definitions. It is impossible to make an A in the class,and extremely hard to get a B. I did well on the paper but the tests killed me! READ

I believe Dr. Johnson's class should be one of the easiest business classes- all common sense. However, the way he tests makes the class more difficult than it should be. You definitely have to read all the chapters and attend class. Pretty much memorize the definitions. If you do this, you should end up with a solid B in the class. I had an 88 and

If you can stand listening to stories about Bloomingdales, then you will not mind sitting through this class. No explanation of grades; a 57 on a paper deserves some sort of explanation, none given. Very frustrating class, considering WE HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE, if you are a business major! Just study the book.

Since the beginning of time, only a couple of professors have demonstrated such a high degree of incompetence. He truly should have retired a long time ago. I understood the material completely and am (for the most part) an A student. Ed, thanks for nothing I Read the book front to back went to every class and still ended up with a B.

Awfully boring, the last few reviews are right on. The guy spends more time telling bad jokes and rambling on about his past than teaching. What make sit worse is that he tests on those two. Unfortunely he is the only one teaching this class so be prepared to fall asleep, daydream, and doodle all over your notebook.

I agree that he is a very nice guy, and funny at times, BUT I think he is a GOOD teacher! He is helpful, gives reviews before the exams and is a lenient grader. I got an A on her paper and it took me no time at all... The ethics paper was a B+... maybe following directions is hard for some people, but others that know how should take Ed!

class is very easy to get a B, impossible to get an A. he's probably the worst TEACHER i have ever had, nice guy, terrible teacher. he was obviously an executive before computers cuz he apparently doesnt know how to use one which makes everything a just a little more complicated. efficiency= practice what you preach ed, practice what you preach.

Old dude. The wife is the one helping him continue to teach. Don't get me wrong. Very nice guy. Only in his own world. Should be raising grand kids and tell them stories. Forgets we are in biz school and no time to waste. Easy subject. Just forget him and read the book. Nice guy though. Between a nice guy and a cranky one, I take nice any time.
