I took Physics 1 & 2 with Dr. Justiniano, during summer. The lectures did not help when it came to taking the tests. He spent most/all the time deriving equations, but not showing how to apply them which is what the tests required. If you do the HW he curves so much youll be fine. I once got a 60 on a test and that correlated to a 95..

Dr. J is an outstanding professor who delivers very thorough lectures. He offers a deeper insight into each topic, usually with a full and complete treatment, meaning he derives everything in order to paint a complete picture. I would hazard a guess that most of the negative reviews are written by those who are non-Physics, non-Engineering majors.

Stop scrolling through these reviews and listen to me. I passed physics 1 with an A from a different college and took physics 2 with Justiniano. The class consists of an optional lecture which is him rambling to the class making no sense. I'm not kidding. His test avg's are 15-50 which he scales up. Possible good grade, but TERRIBLE teacher.

Dr. J is the worst professor I have had in my 7 semesters at ECU. He is horrible at explaining things. He just does not have the ability to break down physics on a level that students can understand. I made an A in the class by teaching myself and of course the 30 pt curves help as well.

Class is hard and he is pretty difficult to understand. If you read the book and do practice tests you should be ok. not an easy A though

Dr. Justiniano is overall a good professor if you must take physics. The grade was simply the best 3 out of 4 test grades with an optional final exam and lots of curves and extra credit available (which was definitely necessary because of the difficulty level of the subject). Plus, he's really nice and helpful, and has a great sense of humor.

Justiniano is a really cool guy, he's always happy. Physics is hard, and if you have no prior experience with the subject taking him isn't the best idea. He has a killer curve like 30 points almost but if you're failing the test it won't really help.

Dr. J wants everyone to succeed and tries very hard to get everyone to understand physics. I can tell he is very passionate and knowledgeable about physics. I took this class during the summer so it was very fast paced, but if you go to his office hours he can be very helpful! I recommend him!

He may have not been the best at teaching, but the homework wasn't demanding and his tests were similar to the hw. He was also friendly. Made an A with out much effort. I would take him again, no doubt.

Dr. Justiniano is probably one of the worst professors I have had when it comes to teaching. His class is useless when you come to class because he just rambles and writes stuff on the board that is already in the powerpoint. On the other hand he curves a lot on test. I failed all but 1 test and I got a B for the class. Homework/final is optional.

I took this class during the summer and it was very fast paced. The guy is very funny, always cracking jokes. Curves tests A LOT! Don't have too much homework to turn in, and he always does the homework the day before you turn it in, so no reason to not get a 100. Grades on effort. No attendance policy. Overall, TAKE HIM!

The best Brasilero Physicist, Edson Justiniano, is a great professor. His level of thinking is beyond undergraduates who are taking General Physics as a cognate course so comprehending the material will be a task. He gets into detail during lecture providing deeper insights, so you'll have to go cherry picking for important points. He curves alot

Mr. Justiniano was VERY difficult to understand and he didn't always follow the textbook, so much studying is required. However, his tests are fairly easy and he curves alot! On one exam, I had to miss 1/5 of the questions, yet I somehow got a score above 100. No attendance policy and he's very nice, cracking lots of jokes. Overall recommended.

In this class the homework is not demanding and the test are not to bad either. The class can tend to be boring but Dr. Justiniano is a very nice man. He lets students turn in homework late. He understands that this is just the general physics class so he doesn't make it to hard. I would take him again. No attendance policy. I made an A.

This is a very hard class but he curves A LOT! I did not have to take the final and on the last test I got a 70 and it was curved up to a 93! I made an A in the class. The hardest part of his class was web assign. Only reason to go to class is for extra points on attendance.

Justiniano seems like a very sweet man. HOWEVER, teaching does not fit into that category. He is NOT good at explaining things, and he has an accent!! Gives HUGE curves. The curve still leaves some people failing. HARD class....good luck
