She was very impatient with those who found it difficult to pronounce and fully understand Hebrew. I wouldn't recommend this class to anyone who enjoys being called out and mistreated.

Edith is one of the best professors I've ever had, and I wish I could take her class again. It isn't 'easy', but she makes every effort for you to be successful. I learned an incredible amount about culture and conflict - she integrated speakers and respected academics into the curriculum. Very compassionate and respects you as an adult.

Comment:

Professor Covenskys class is one of the most positive experiences I have had at Wayne State. She genuinely cares about students. Im an Accounting Major who decided to take this class near the end of my career at Wayne and I was blown away. Class discussions are the only grades. Movies watched arent super interesting, discussions help a lot.

Dr. Covensky is the real deal, She's on the Ivy League level, she has no favorites as a Black student this one of the best experiences I had at the University level each and ever individual has to carry there own weight, if you want to achieve and do well her office is open and she's available!

I Enjoyed taking this class. Pretty much you watch a movie and discuss it for points the next week. All exams are take home essays. She really cares for her students and wants everyone to do well. Showing up to class regularly will boost your grade. Class topics are not the most exciting, but she makes it tolerable. Would recommend!

Edith Covensky was my favorite professor at wayne state university and I just graduated. She is always there for you, the sweetest woman on the planet. She really knows the subject matter and is able to help you on your level. She makes learning easy and she is a delight to be around. Her smile is contagious!

I had her for Israeli culture, and she is so nice and caring. Her class is really easy if you attend even half of the time. Unfortunately the class is somewhat disorganized. The grade is just based on some essays, which if you do alright you will get an A. I wish there were more professors who cared for students like she does!
