Overall, just not a good professor. He is not great at relaying information to students and you will spend most of your time in this class confused. He is not open to questions and usually says he already covered it (even if he didn't) or to check the syllabus. His responses are usually rude. This is a class that you will have to teach yourself.

Very knowledgable however does not know how to relay that knowledge to his students. Reads right off the slides and does not provide many real life examples to back up what is being read. No practice exam. May give 5pt quizzes for extra credit. Test questions are random. The project is a joke, but may raise your grade. Boring, hard, miserable.

Don't listen to the negative comments. Most of the questions given on the exams were from the practice exams. I remember skimming through the book and still got an A. Ace all three exams and you won't need to take the final. One group project and extra credit when you teach the class (excel, access, microsoft, etc..). TRY!

Makes you work. A presentation with a team member and a final research paper. A lot of reading and writing. 4 DB posts each week and a response on others' posts. Three exams, drops the lowest.

Informative but busy. Online project is mandatory, volunteer for early date if you can. Multiple students didn't present at last minute but seemed to be no reduction in grade. Tough grader with ZERO budge on grades for project and paper. Tests are 60 minutes for 50 questions, make sure you know the material! Drops lowest of 3 grades. Learn a lot.

Lectures are long and boring. He talks so soft I cannot even hear what he is saying. Very unclear when asking for help on certain topics, the only response i get is "Check the syllabus I've already explained this to you", even though syllabus never answers my question In my opinion, not a good teacher and would not take a class with this professor.

I Would not recommend this professor to anyone looking to learn and and understand the material taught in this class. Please sign up for another professor Although it seems as if he is the only professor that teaches this particular course.

Take the class with a different professor, Tests are totally unrelated to what he teaches in class, project/milestones are not related to what we learn in his class. Does not want to see his students do better in class, does not like to be approached and answers questions with a lot of arrogance. I would not recommend him to anyone! Nightmare!

Take this class if you're comfortable teaching yourself. Don't be late. Barely used the book. Lowest exam grade is dropped. Powerpoints and lectures do not correlate with what you a tested on. IT Talk is the easiest grade. Offers a good amount of extra credit if you bomb an exam. ADVICE-Do not buy Simnet you can def get it done with the trial.

He was really tough in grading, and so strict too. Make sure you're friend with your teammates, the professor will let your teammate drag down your grade just because of your teammate don't like you (rate you badly on purpose). In addition, make sure you read the syllabus very well. He did not like answering Q.

His teaching style is a little different, but if you get the assignments done on time you won't get a terrible grade. Didn't really use the book at all, exams are multiple choice and not awful if you study the slides & quizzes, attendance isn't mandatory however he does notice if you skip a lot, and he drops lowest exam (including final).

Unless you wanna teach yourself, don't do it. Find someone else. Don't get yourself involved in this sense. He'll make you turn in your assignments on turn it in to make sure you didnt plagiarize. During tests e'll make you turn your hat backwords so he can see your eyes to make sure youre not cheating. He's a nice guy but terrible professor.

Prof Chen does not teach. He merely stands at the front babbling with a few sentences here and there about the coursework. At the end of the semester all we did was present our semester projects, completely skipping 3 chapters while still being expected to take the test on them. I do not recommend this class unless you're prepared to teach yourself

This professor truly does not give you a study guide and does not review for the exam and everything is out of the book. Let me not forget to mention the books that he makes you buy are horrible and boring. Soo dry and filled with too much wording . I am truly disspointed

His tests are based almost strictly off of what he didn't teach in class, and vocabulary. The Milestones are not very well laid out. He does drop the lowest exam grade, but that doesn't help if you don't know what to study.

Dr. Chen is a really nice guy. He starts the class with a joke and a cartoon. He has 3 exams and a final. He takes best of 3. You have 3 labs and a paper with a PowerPoint presentation. Pretty easy class.
