Great teacher but too easy. Loved him until I wasn't taking him. Swept though Calc 1 and then failed Calc 2 because the other math prof that I had didn't allow crib sheets. Not advised for engineering, physics, or math majors.

I took Calculus with this guy. He is rather monotone and sometimes difficult to understand, but his laid back nature made him a very enjoyable teacher. I thought he was pretty informative and most of the time a very good professor. I would recommend him to those who DO NOT have trouble with math. If you hate math and have trouble, avoid him.

Dr. Davenport was AWFUL!!!!! Avoid him as a professor at all costs!He is a terrible instructor. This is sad considering he is the head of the math department at UCM! He is difficult to work under and terrible at explaining concepts. His verbage is****ndous! He is not very good at the math he teaches either. . .he is constantly making mistakes!

Amazing teacher. Maybe the best I have ever had. He did sort of speak monoton, but he had a really dry sense of humor that always made me laugh. He really knew his subject and enjoyed teaching it. If you can get him as a professor do!
