Great professor. Truly cares about what students take away from his lectures. Tests are very difficult but he gives generous partial credit. GO TO CLASS, take good notes, study those and you'll be FINE. Textbook was next to useless. Dr. D is very clear, nice and easily approachable. You will have to work hard but he is 100% fair in his grading.

Professor Deveney was an amazing teacher, he broke it down for people who had trouble understanding the material and he made the class fun. Physics is extremely hard and he really was a great teacher to have!

Dr. D is wicked cool. he loves the phrase "here's the scoop" and always has to leave right after class to go to a super important meeting with the press (go to the gym). he goes a lot by the honor system and basically lets you do whatever. physics itself isn't my best subject but he's good at explaining it

"heres the scoop"- take him. physics would have prob been my worst nightmare but deveney is stressfree and he lectures like hes having a casual conversation with you about it. 3 tests that he puts all the equations and concepts on and the questions come right from the hw probs that he answers is class and on Bb "check it out"

Talks a whole bunch of nonsense that we DONT get tested or quizzed on! It's kind of annoying. Pretty much all you have to do is show up and do the papers, and your good. He is very understanding, I would reccommend this class for a first year seminar.(PS he ABSOLUTELY HATES when people talk while he is!)

This is such an easy seminar! Right off the bat he tells you there are no notes, tests, or quizzes. zip. He hates taking attendance but the school requires him to. Otherwise there are 4 papers & very little homework. Just go to class, do the papers & appear to look interested in the quantum physics he talks about. If you do the work, you'll pass :)

Easy A if you keep up with the 2 page papers he assigns every other week or so. Very laid back and willing to compromise to keep people happy. He's really into quantum mechanics and spends a lot of class pushing that agenda rather than discussing the papers, but over all he's a wicked nice guy. always late.

so laid back,doesn't want to take attendance and usually forgets, but BSC requires him to. Otherwise, for his seminar just come to class: no notes, no tests, no midterm/final just 2pg papers every 2-3weeks.wicked easy. He talks all physics &quantum theories which gets really confusing if you have no background on it but you don't have to take notes

UGH. He is ALWAYS late to class. He goes on and on about things that are irrelevant to the essays you have to do, but it is EXTREMELY EASY. INCOMING FRESHMAN SHOULD TAKE THIS CLASS FOR REQUIREMENTS! You dont need to know any material he talks about! No quizzes or tests! EASY A. Just show up.
