So this was a LONG time ago. I was his student in 2001, but the experience was so rough for me that I'm rating him today. There was nothing I could do to please this man. Very rigid teaching style; the student-teacher relationship was unilateral in his favor. He's a brilliant pianist, but I wonder why types like these don't just stick to performing

At first, i had a tough time figuring out his methods, but once i understood what he wanted, it was easy to do well in his class... and he can tell when you don't practice piano!!! don't get on his bad side, b/c i hear he can be a tough one.

HE KNOWS SO MUCH!!! Well versed in the subject matter. Very helpful and encouraging (told me to "keep my chin up"). It's ahard to say older Professors are hot,but I bet he created quite a stir in his younger days.
