Comment:
Homework is very difficult, but tests are easy. Lectures are fast. You really have to read the textbook and work for it to understand the homework. Since he is a theoretical mathematician (algebraic topology), it is a really great and different experience from other engineering math courses.

Comment:
Let me start off by saying, I did not take his class for an entire semester. He seems like an incredibly smart person, but he's just too fast. He writes too fast and sloppy, he talks too fast, and then he erases everything right away. I usually prefer an accelerated class, but he's just too fast. Beware.

Miller is an absolute genius. If you ask him anything pertaining to math, he will know it and more. You have to have an appreciation of math if you want to enjoy Miller's class. His handwriting is quite bad and he does go fast, but ask him to slow down and he will. He is also willing to spend time out of class helping you. All around very nice guy.

Difficult to contact with this professor if you want to discuss your grade, thus prepare yourself to have hard time. difficult in his explanations, therefore I strongly recomend reading book and taking notes. It is impossible to follow his lectures in terms of notes!!!

Miller is a really kind guy who is willing to go out of his way to accommodate you. He is almost always available. He also knows his stuff. Capable of solving extremely difficult questions with ease, and guides you through them. However he does make mistakes sometimes, usually keeps you on your toes.

I had him for Linear Algebra and Differential Equations. The other raters are right when they say his hand writing isn't so clear and he goes FAST so you can't be distracted, you seriously need to pay attention BUT all you have to do is ask him to slow down, go over something or ask what he wrote. He's extremely helpful, goofy p, and funny!

his lectures were good but his writing is poor. he teaches you what you need to know to do well on the exams. He will help you anytime if you go to his office hours. I wish half the professors would have such open office hours for the students.

Pure Genius! You can tell that a fuse blew in this dude's head while attempting his PHd, but he has the mind that us college students hope to one day achieve. When you come to him with a question, he will solve it, and then show you 5 easier ways to do it!

Kinda strange, but very effective professor. He makes the hardest things appear very easy. His tests are very easy to pass, since the questions are almost identical to the ones he goes over in class. Plus, he's always willing to help.
