He is weird and rambles. The papers are pretty simple to write, you barely need to read the books because he always talks about them during class, just skim to find quotes. Make sure to talk about "how the book changed you" and BS like that. You can get a B easily by hardly trying. He does take attendance though.

I'm pretty sure his name should be Mad Eye Moody. He's kind of kooky, but also really fun at times. You pretty much have to buy the books for the papers (they're like quote interpretation papers). He also hates when students crowd to the back of the room, and he will pass around sign in sheets for many lectures.

A interesting guy, his class is somewhat boring. It might have just been that it was at 9:30 AM. Read the books, skim through, and find 2 or 3 quotes you can write the papers off. A nice guy if you need help, and can have some really interesting lectures

Terrble professor! He just kind of rambles honestly some times I question if he even knows what he is talking about. He is incredibly unhelpful and will not answer questions when asked directly. He doesn't listen to what you say, and heaven forbid you disagree with him. I would not take a class with him again EVER.

As long as you did the readings, listened in class and put some effort into your homework, this class was an easy A. Mooney is incredibly intelligent and really nice. Even though discussion is all over the place its still interesting and can be really funny.

The class was awesome. This was a seminar style class, but even the 'lecture'ish part of it was run very open. Class is not difficult, mainly open discussion. He doesn't restrict discussion at all, we went all over the place in discussion. Wonderful teacher, highly recommended.

From what I've heard, mooney may not be the greatest prof. for other classes, but he's just perfect for an existentialism professor.

Mooney is a wise person. Dont go to the class expecting what you would in a math class, dont take notes and just listen to him. You will get much more out of the class this way and it will make the main ideas of the class stand out.

Class is pretty damn boring. Papers are incredibly easy, they're basically just "how do you feel about this book." If you want an easy class, take this class, but if you want to actually learn something don't take it.
