Dr. Wong is a good professor & works hard to help students to succeed and get a good grade. Weekly online quizzes could "make-or-break" you, as for me it hurt. Dr. Wong helped me to change my semester around for the better. He also suggests good studying habits that will stick with you for your entire college career. He's helpful, but class is hard

Professor Wong is a nice guy, That being said the exams given in his BIO 100 course are far to difficult for a 100 level course. Essentially the exams determine whether you pass or fail the course. Ultimately you're expected to spend 5 hours minimum studying for his onerous exams, which is pretty difficult to do with a full course load. DODGE HIM!!

Honestly science has never been my cup of tea i've always hated it. I had to take this class because it's a general education requirement. He's extra about his style in teaching he expects us to care too much for the subject and his lectures are long and boring. There's online quizzes sometimes twice a week so it's overwhelming for just a gen ed.

Dr. Wong is a great person! I really enjoyed his lectures but his material follows the book a lot. YOU NEED TO READ THE BOOK and watch is mini-lectures to pass. His tests are sometimes confusing but it is a good class overall. I am a bio major and the concepts are more specific and challenging than I originally expected going in.

I took Dr. Wong last semester and he was an amazing teacher. He does assign homework at the most- twice a week and his tests are tricky. But, as long as you study from his study guides, the homework he assigns, and the textbooks, you are bound to succeed! P.S., try to attend everyday and BRING YOUR CLICKER! Clicker points do add up to your grade!

Professor Wong teaches a large lecture but involves students with clicker questions so don't skip too often. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Labs are mandatory!!! You're quizzed every class based on 10 page lab handout that you must print out print to class!

He is a great professor. He truly wants you to pass his class but he will only give you the grade you deserve nothing more nothing less. He loves clickers so buy one and bring it to every class for extra credit points. Your BIO textbook is your best friend in this class BUY THE BOOK. I've taken him 2 times already and he's funny and quirky.

One of my favorite professors. Is very clear on details, and goes out of his way to make sure you understand the content. Online quizzes are some of the most thought-provoking questions I've read in my life, but overall, a great teacher and person.

He makes you take an online quiz before almost every lecture and it can be hard. There is a test every two weeks and they are all on three chapters but if you do the study guide it's not too bad. He does online lectures which cover most of the material from the chapter so you don't have to attend lecture regularly as he doesn't take attendance.

Took for a Summer session with Wong, honestly so grateful that I did. He made the information easy to understand and assigned specific homeworks/ gave supplemental information(btw that's all on the exams).Lab seemed fairly balanced with lecture, and was willing to drop the lowest grade in each category. He's awesome. He's so adorable and quirky. You can actually tell he loves Biology and he's not just lecturing on and on about the topic. Also you shouldn't any classes with him if you have him for lecture. He loves his clicker quizzes. Those points can help your grade so I think it's best to go and listen.

I loved this guy. His lectures were good and clear. He gives you the slides so you can take notes as he goes along with the powerpoint. His tests really make you think. they are tricky and you HAVE ti study for them.

Dr. Wong is great. His lectures in this class were from a power point, very easy to understand, but he doesn't go into detail for topics unless he's asked to. He posts study guides for the exams which show the exact material that will be on the test. Read those and read the textbook and you'll do fine.

Make sure you watch the mini-lectures he has online!! Super helpful, actual lecture, eh, not so much. It's just a very broad review mixed with a specific review of the muddy parts of the previous reading. Everything is laid out for you, the work just has to be done. It's time consuming.

Co-lectures with another professor. Very nice and tries very hard to ensure his class understands the material to do well. The class is mandatory for all majors and he makes the class interesting to non-bio majors. I recommend taking him for lab, very helpful when the material can get confusing

Dr. Wong is the best prof I've had at westconn. Took molecular genetics with him and was such a good decision. Actually learned techniques that are marketable/useful in the real world. He's fair and if you show up and do the work you'll get an A. I highly recommend taking any classes you can with Dr Wong!
