I took HIS102 online over summer and it was so much work. However, the professor is great. She seems to be a fair grader. I enjoyed that she grades quickly and her syllabus is clear. She does a great job as an online professor. However, don't underestimate how much reading and writing is involved in HIS102.

Great professor! Be ready to spent 4-9 hours per week for reading, posting, and homework. She is helpful and understanding. If you have any questions or you struggle with anything she will help. I Highly recommend her!!!

She is great!!! easy "A" if you do whatever she assigns. Be ready to read, and participate in class as it can impact your grade if you don't. I took her online and her class is pretty organized. If you are not in history, then take her! :)

Overall the class was better than I expected. I've taken other on line classes and found there to be much more interaction between the students and the professor...one major downfall for this class was there was very little communication from Prof. Brown. I ended up with a good grade, but expected a little better for the amount of time and effort.

Comment:

One of the top 3 professors I had at NCC, no doubt. Her lectures were fantastic and I really learned a lot. She did something impossible: she made history interesting! You don't have to read, but you will want to. Instead of tests, we had a couple of short response papers (like a page and a half). If I could, I would take 100 more classes with her!

I like Prof. Brown. She always tried to make the classes interesting. I graduated back in 2003, so it's been awhile, and I can only remember certain things about her. But she was always so nice, and worked with her students. My class was awesome!!! The people, and the joking around we would all do. She played along with it for the most part. She can be lenient and understanding, but don't take advantage of that. She'll quickly catch on...

I took this class on Fridays for 3 hours and She gave us time to do our assigned reading every morning, and we had numerous breaks a day. Our only graded assignments were a take home mid-term & Final and one 5 page essay on someone we covered in class. We watched movies and I thought the class was easy and Fun. She was very nice.

Easy as hell, boring as hell if youve passed history in High school. Decent teacher, but is picky baout her good days, and is usually stressed out because she teaches 5 or 6 classes a semester. For western civ II, one can pass very easily so get an easy A
