Ms. Sarasohn was one of the hardest teachers I ever have had in the several community colleges and universities I've attended, and in the top five professors I've known. You must work HARD to earn As in her class, and you must reject simple answers to historical questions. But it's very rewarding to do so, and she's helpful to those willing to try.

Good fair teacher. Keeps her bias out of the lectures. Study hard for the tests, they will kill you. If you plan on going onto a 4 year, take this class. This is for students who like history and are intelligent.

good teacher BUT her grading is way too tough. i know most people will move on to a 4 yr school but come on this is community college not a university. i dont understand how i can go from all a papers in english last semester to a c or lower in history papers. i work hard but she grades WAY too hard

She is hard, but liberal. Many people will drop the class, and she will love the survivors! If you think she's dry/boring, please visit her during the office hours. She's very helpful, and a good counselor too! Recommended - especially students who are willing to go to 4yr universities.

If you want to gain a good understanding of American History-take her. Her tests are difficult and require quite a bit of preparation, but if you ever want to succeed outside of JC you'd better get used to the workload. I worked hard in both of her classes, and now she's writing me letters of rec.

Wow,this was absolutely the most boring class I have ever had.She treats people like she is the queen of the class and demands WAY TOO MUCH for tests.If you get on her bad side you are done.Also,obviously hates Christians, so don't even bother if you are one.DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!

She is a nice person, dont get me wrong. BUT, he lectures are so BORING. If you want to experience the longest hour in your life take this class. Her tests are tough and she loves to give POP QUIZZES all the time. Dont waste your time with her-some people just shouldn't teach!
