Dr. Synnott has a lot to offer. She's been all over the World & often brings in cool slideshows of her research expeditions. She's very knowledgable & easy to approach but many students don't show her the respect she deserves. Students come in having read the negative comments & never even give her a chance. She's a really nice lady & good teacher.

Very good, knowledgeable instructor. Her class was intense and involved a lot of work and studying, but it all paid off. If you are willing to work, you can learn a lot and get an A in her class. Just be warned, you will have to earn that A.

She was rude, never helped me when I had asked for clarity on certian topics. I ended up withdrawing from the last class, because she told me I would probably fail, great encouraging professor! NOT!Horrible teacher, switch teachers if you get stuck with her... Oh, and ask her a question on evolution, she never answers it, because she can back it up

the class was awefull, The teacher assighns allot of work and has UNrealistic expectations for feild trips...( she expected the class to get up at 5:00 AM to be in PROVIDENCE for 6:30 am to see a bird)the feild trip was MANDATORY, otherwise points would be taken off of your avg. The teacher was not understanding of students difficulties.

Dr. Synnott is very smart and really knows what she is talking about, however, the amount of work she expects you to be able to complete in one semester is far from reasonable. I do not reccommend taking her class.

Yes she does assign a tough work load but it prepares us for the real world of a four year school. She is great and funny and if you do the work and show an interest she will help you in any way she can. I did poorly on my projects but still got a good grade. she is VERY smart and has wild stories.

this is an awful class. she is not nice to her students. she spends most of her lectures laughing at herself. i would not recommend this teacher if you do not know a lot about biology. it is more like an advanced class.

Shes an awesome teacher. She deffinately knows what she is talking about. The class has a lot to memorize but shes clear on what she wants you to do and gets everything accomplished. She gives you chances to get extra points to help your grade. Shes an awesome science teacher!

Although I have only had her for one semester, she was probably everything in an instructer I wanted to avoid accademically. Besides being dry and being the first instructor not to hand back tests, she also insults her students in the middle of class.
