Comment:

For a 100 level class, there's too much work. She grades really hard, but, at the end, there's a method to her madness. Fun class, fun assignments. Wish it was a little more relaxed, but other than that, it was great. Generally let us out a bit early every day. She does make you work for the grade, though. Nice to look at as well.

My public speaking skills increased tremendously. Professor Russo's class became really close and we learned a lot about classmates since we made many speeches throughout semester. She is a little tough on grading, definitely grades you on how well your perform. For midterm, just read chapters assigned and its common sense. Take home final.

She's a tough grader and isn't very specific about what she wants in a speech. Only allowed to give out a certain amount of As, so she grades really hard. Nearly impossible to pass

Class was a lot harder than I expected. Very time consuming. A 20-30 minute group speech with only a week to complete. We always got out early. She is a good teacher. Did a lot better in the class than I expected.

She is an excellent professor. I took her once a week night class and I got a lot better at public speaking. She was very helpful and the class was extremely easy. I got an A- with very little out of class work. We had two 8-10 minute speeches, a couple shorter ones, and a take home final. She's a very easy grader and we were always let out early.

She is a great teacher for this class- lots of experience. She has great strategies to help you get over the fears of public speaking, etc. A good night class to take if you want a once a week class. Also listening to everyone's speeches interesting- open ended assignments you can have fun with! Take her :)

I despise public speaking and have stage fright, but this prof made the class bareable. she lets out early, is really nice-never puts anyone down. gives constructive critisism. Really easy grader, i honestly didnt deserve the A she gave me. Defintly recommend her.

Awesome professor. Assignments weren't hard and she is an easy grader. The class itself was a good time. The hardest thing was picking a topic and I wrote all my speeches the night before I gave them. Easy class, and she's such a beautiful woman... sooo nice!

If you have to take COMM131 this is the teacher to take it with. There was almost no note taking, the midterm & final are open book. The hardest thing was picking a topic to speak about. Russo is a very fair grader, and willing to lead you in the right direction. It would take effort to fail.

I abosolutely loved her. Tests accounted for a total of 10% of our grade. The speeches are where our grades really counted. She's always willing to help as long as you show an interest in helping yourself. She is super easy to follow and class is fun; I would definately take her again.

Can't add much to what's been said already, but Russo really is amazing. Very intelligent, very friendly and energetic, a rather easy grader - and yeah, gorgeous is an understatement. One of the most memorable and helpful courses I've taken in years - I can't recommend her highly enough.
