Maglio is easily the worst english teacher I have ever had. English 101 should be the easiest class you take freshmen year but not with her crazy grading. She is actively trying to make you a worse writer and can not communicate a thought if her life depended on it.

Comment:

Maglio is a disorganized, yet funny professor. Her thoughts are sometimes jumbled and she loses track easily. Really not a lot of homework, some assignments (def. do) and only 4 essays all semester. She's a very hard grader though and marks up all your essays. Can skip class and be totally fine, she doesn't pay attention/rarely takes attendance.

Firstly, she's not organized, she gets lost while teaching, she's the Most racist teacher ever, she tries to act like she like black but deep down in her its the opposite. She passes every white student in the class and fails all blacks!!! I'm going to the court next week to report her for giving me a wrong grade, p.s!

I would not say that she was a bad professor, but certainly not the greatest. Misses a lot of class and adjusts the criteria based on that for assignments, although this often made things more confusing and less helpful. Tends to ramble on during lectures about nothing but her class isn't that bad and is not particularly challenging in any aspect.

Dr. Maglio really does care about her students. Meet with her at her office hours because she is actually really helpful and nice to talk to. BUT her classroom instruction is a mess. She lets students take control of everything and she feeds into it. She goes in depth on grading papers (which is good and bad). I would never take her again though.

Mags is relaxed, extremely nice and easy to talk to. Assignments may seem complicated but she talks through them. One of the only teachers who takes genuine interests in her students. Have to take an English class, take Maglio

class is too easy. just write some papers, do some homework, and barely come to class and you'll get an A. She takes with her eyes shut almost the entire class which is disturbing, and sidetracks herself all the time which is annoying. She honestly should never tell anyone they deserve a C on a paper because she could not write an average paper.

Professor Maglio is extremely helpful and wants her students to do well. She is funny and interesting and doesn't give you assignments that you aren't equipped to do. She is a hard grader but if you ask for help ahead of time, she will work with you to make your paper A-worthy. Definitely recommend taking her. It's fun and informative.

best teacher at Providence! 4 essays the whole semester. Class goes by quick because she is hilarious. She gives homework assignments but you do not have to do them. If she calls on you just say pass. Easy grader. B+ minimum. She's down to earth and extremely cool. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

She has an amazing sense of humor which does make the time of each class go by fast but directions are not very clear as what to do on certain assignments. She is very disorganized and tends to miss class A LOT. This class did not improve my writing and she's not very helpful. AVOID HER

One of the more inspiring teachers I've had at PC. She is somewhat disorganized, but her passion for the material is contagious! She is also extremely understanding of students' needs and will always help if you ask for it. Love her!

Prof Maglio loves her job and is willing to help as much as she can. She understands student life and she has a realistic approach to her class and works well with the students. The material is not always the greatest but when you know you won't be tortured going to class it's not that bad. If you have Maglio be happy, believe me it could be worse.

Dr. Maglio is the best writing teacher at PC. She is fun, king, and has a great sense of humour! I have never seen anyone as good at helping students write papers as she is. She wants them to write great papers. She had us read essays by people like Mark Twain and Wendel Berry and talk about them in class, which was really cool. Best ENG 101!

Comment:

Somewhat disorganized, she tends to have trouble keeping her thoughts together. Helps alot with the method analyzing, and editing ones own work. Very very nice.
