ppl r being unfairly tough on Liz bc they expected a bird course and were surprised they had to *gasp* study to do well! She's a very engaging lecturer, and the course material was very interesting. I had 0 music background going into this class but still did well because I STUDIED.hard. Were some communications problems,but what else is new?

thought the class was going to be pretty easy, but its not. not very interesting, i guess she means well - but is not helpful at all. neither are the TAs really...bad class choice for me. but if youre really into music, maybe youll like it?

Liz is the most unhelpfull person at mcgill. She actually told me during an exam that the fact that the scantron was going to mark my multiple choice wrong, was "Not her problem." Thanks alot Liz, and for checking your e-mails as well.

Are we talking about the same woman? Liz is unhelpful, unengaged, disorganised and has a horrible attitude. She never bothers responding to emails or posting her notes online (as promised). It took 3 weeks to get back an exam that she promised would take 1...and it was almost all multiple choice! Lucky the topic is so interesting, in spite of her.

Don't think this course is a slack-off, you do actually have to study a lot before the exams. BUT I really liked the course and the prof really loves the material she teaches and does a good job at it. if you put in the time and effort, you'll do well.
