Comment:

Im only a week in and she seems fine. But just a heads up for anyone planning to sign up for this class, she WILL expect you to spend about $200-$250 on books... the textbook is 130 used or 170 new and the lab manual is $65. I attend occ to save money so its a slap in the face being forced to spend almost the full cost of the class on books.

Comment:

I have never had such an amazing professor. This class is not meant to be a blow of class it is harder material than a basic class but Drumm breaks it down so well. Anyone who doesn't do well in this class really had to try. Easy homework and lab points. Honestly can not say enough good things about her! Take her at all costs.

I love Dr. Drumm so much! She is such an amazing professor who really tries her best so her students can understand what is being taught. The online assignments are easy A's. There are unlimited attempts so its really hard not to get an A on them. Her labs arent bad. It can be tedious sometimes,but its also an easy A.

Has to be one of the nicest professors at OCC, she's so open to answering literally any questions you have. No homework just regular tests which she gives extra credit on, she's one of the best and really cares about the students.

I loved her class. She encourages questions and want you to learn. 7 tests, drops the lowest score. Some extra credit and you get points for labs. Not an easy class but she is always willing to help you understand.

Prof Drumm was so nice and will help you if you are confused. She really wants everyone to do well. Tests are hard but she gives lecture outlines and lots of assignments. Lets you ask questions during lecture and makes it interesting as interesting as bio can be. Hard class tough.

She is such a sweet lady! Loved her and her class. Labs were super easy all you have to do is show up and complete the lab work. For lecture she just reads off slides which can be a little boring but she posts everything on D2L so if you miss a class it's no big deal. Extra credit on every test. Put in the work and you'll get an A, not a blow off

This is the 1st professor that I actually loved! She encourages questions, takes time out to answer your questions, and never makes you feel dumb for not knowing. She's super knowledgeable and wants each and every one of her students to succeed. I wish all professors were like her and I 100% would recommend anyone take her classes.

Professor Drumm is a total geek about bio. She really loves it & wants you to love it too... but she recognizes that you probably don't. She builds an extra credit lab, extra credit assignments, and extra credit on EVERY quiz into the class to help. The labs are easy and you drop your lowest test score. I would 100% take her for every Bio class :)

Mrs. Drumm is very nice! No need to purchase the book at all, just buy the Mastering access code separately. The online access and her PowerPoints is all you need. Lots of information but she also gives plenty of extra credit.

Didn't attend any lecture because they were pointless she just reads off powerpoint slides. There were seven lecture tests which turned out to be an exam every two weeks with 80-85 questions. Don't take Tuesday lab because all the exams were right after lab so the Tuesday students didn't have time to study beforehand. Also do not the purchase book

Extremely kind no matter what kind of day she is having. She wants to see everyone do well and stresses doing well by giving a lot of extra credit. No final exam, just 7 lecture tests which are not difficult if you study at least 3ish hours. Highly recommend taking the class with a Tuesday and Thursday lecture with a Thursday lab.

By far one of my favorite professors! She cares about her students & wants everyone to receive a good grade. She's always encouraging us to ask questions & is very helpful/clear. Her lectures are straight forward & provides lecture outlines, if you study the notes you're guaranteed an A. There are alot of point opportunities & she drops a test!

Let's get to the point: extra credit offered on each exam. Easy exams. Makes biology fun. Cool and easy labs. You will actually learn the material, which is good. She is very nice. She helps you. She wants you to do good. Don't pay attention to the bad reviews on here; they obviously didn't try in this class.

Comment:

She is a great teacher; nice, helpful, and encouraging. She explains the subject very clear. She offers extra credit per exam (not including the final) which is extremely helpful. Keep in mind that it is still biology, so you must be prepared to study like hell if you'd like an easy A. Don't get we wrong I'd highly recommend this professor.
