Comment:

Sweet woman. No mention of sex or marriage in 'women in Catholicism' course. It's an easy class but with at least thirty pages of reading hw daily. These can be easily skimmed, but be prepared to write a reflection on each book read (roughly four books). Oh yeah, and be ready to write an 8-9 pg paper due at the end of the course... Easy B class.

This was not your typical theology class. The main focus was sex and marriage, which is nice for someone coming from non-Catholic background. She jumped around a lot, which made it hard to connect sex and the bible. Overall, it was a pretty easy class as long as you do the work.

oh man this is most awkward teacher ever! But you gotta love her...she's pretty easy though. all we do is talk about sex and marriage. Just say what you think/believe and you'll be good to go! Boring class, but i would take her again.

Dr. Groppe is so understanding when it comes to misunderstandings. I agree with the comments about discussion. Every paper I've written that goes along with her beliefs I've gotten a good grade on. She's a really nice lady though and very helpful

I got an A in this class only because I told her exactly what she wanted to hear. The first essay I gave my honest opinion and I got a B-. From there I told her what she wanted to hear and I got A's. Too much reading, essays almost every week, and just generally boring. I hated this class and this prof

She is a very nice teacher and very willing to help if you have questions. You do WORK for your grade but you will also learn in the process. She is extremely knowledgable of the subject matter and leads good discussions. There is a good amount of reading but it is not horrible.

I thought she was a great teacher, not easy but very knowledgable. She did a great job of offering and accepting different viewpoints. I felt like I left the class with having gained a lot of knowledge and I had even enjoyed the books.

There is an ungodly amount of reading to do for this class, it is a hard B. She is very liberal, which can get annoying if you generally oppose liberal viewpoints. Despite this, she is a good professor, if you do the work, you will learn a lot from her.
