She is such a genuine person and very down to earth. Immediately , she gives everyone respect and tries to get to know everyone personally to have that one to one teacher student learning. She really knows her stuff, and explains things really well. Class overall is very organized. unless you hate coding, you will pass this class if you try.

Professor Hawthorne is one of the BEST professor in union county college, not only does she genuinely care about her students, she is helpful, intelligent and keeps her professionalism. she is very inspiring and pushes women into getting into the IT side of things to show them how powerful they can really be. Professor Hawthorne is the SWEETEST. She is obviously extremely educated in her field and she successfully translates her knowledge to her students. She is kind and clear. I wish I could take all of my computer science classes with her.

Worst professor ever in my life. She is lack of knowledge in coding. She does't tech coding. Class looks like history class. Do not take her you won't learn anything. Serious risk of taking her class. Rude, arrogant, old Methodist and unacknowledged lady. Doesn't respect student. Very bad professor.

One of the best teachers out of ucc. You will learn a lot from her. She will go over anything you don't understand. Test are multiple choice with a few fill in the blank plus Alice programming which is easy with her help. Looking forward to taking her for Csc 102 in the fall
