i hated chemistry, but after taking her class, it was actually interesting. I loved going to class, although it was very difficult. Quizzes are given every friday and you have to have done the online homework to do well on the quiz. Tests are hard and you have to know what you're doing and if you write wrong extraneous information she takes off

She makes you work and be prepared for quizzes every Friday! They are hard! Tons of math and test are hard too. you may study for hours and make a 70. She is known to be the easiest in the dept, but I don't think so! I did not take her for 112. She is such a nice person, but her expectations are unrealistic!

Martin is just down right mean. She doesnt cover the material that is on her test and tries to start teaching new material the last 3 minutes of class. She gives quizzes every friday on things youve never seen before. She wastes all class period fussing because you dont remember things from high school. She even through paper at a girl.

Horrible prof. Gives quiz EVERY friday (doesnt give enough time either). She also requires 2 online quizzes A WEEK! She has no order in her notes becuase she jumps around in the chapters. She yells at you for not knowing material from highschool (even if your last chem class was 4 years ago). She acts like her class is the only one you are taking.

Ms. Martin made me develope an aversion toward chemistry. she assumes everyone's schedule revolves around chemistry. she is very passionate about chemistry but isnt a good teacher. could be a productive class if you already have a good hold on chemistry, if not, it's a miserable class. makes people cry

Prof. Martin was great. You have to read the book to do well because she ties her lectures in with the book. That explains why her syllabus is so detailed about what to read for each class. The lowest grade I made on a test was a 77, ended up with a B+, and I am no genius.

worst teacher i've ever had. I absolutely love chemistry but she ruined it. Offers to help, but ends up making you cry. She is completely heartless. She humiliated me and made me sob. You either love her, or hate her. I'd advise not taking her.. she never makes any sense and just rambles completely useless things that just take up time.

I Love prof Martin! She is so funny..she has a.d.d ...but at the same time covers the material in a way that everyone can understand. She is willing to help you any time that you need it and also gives you opportunities for extra credit. I suggest anyone who can.. take from her! She is a wonderfull teacher and really knwos what she is doing!!!!!!!

Her class is really hard and you have to do a lot of studying but she is extremely willing to help you anyway she can. As long as you read the book and do the work you will do just fine. Reading the book is a must because that is where all her test and quizzes come from.

at first, i heard horror stories about her, but now i absolutely LOVE HER! she does expect you to keep up on work and come to class, but if you do, its so easy. she also helps you out at the end by tweaking your grade to give you the best possible. i made a D at midterm, made a 96 on the ACS(she does prepare you for it!),B+ in the class.

Ms. Martin is the best professor I've had at the college. She will bend over backwards to help you understand the material and she genuinely cares about her students well being. The class is fast paced and you HAVE to study ALOT to get a good grade but it's very rewarding. Take her for chemistry, she's awesome!

Comment:

Really nice lady. Very sweet and really tries to get the class excited about chemistry. Gives daily quizzes which can be tricky. Tests are pretty straightforward. Does not prepare you for the ACS. Some of the stuff on the ACS was not even covered during the class. Tends to cram at the last minute. Kindof confusing but really sweet.
