Professor Starr is very sweet and caring. Her class is a mix of being easy and a little bit difficult. There's a ton of reading and writing but the writing assignments are pretty easy. If you show up to class, follow the rubrics she gives you, and do as well as you can on assignments you'll be fine.

Had her for Intro to British Lit. Lots of reading required, but just make sure to participate and put your opinions out there during class discussions. A lot of writing assignments, but she guides you along the way with multiple drafts and peer editing. Really sweet as a person.

Wicked nice, really helpful. A lot of reading and the class was incredibly boring. So many awkward silences when she asked questions because no one would respond, but overall an easy core class. I missed a few quizzes and still got a B-. Just make sure you do your reading responses and you'll pass.

She is verrrry understanding... didnt try the whole year, but attended class regularly (except for amount of allowed absences) and still was on her good side. Pulled off a C+ without much effort and alot of BSing on papers. She does have you write alot; if you aren't a fan of writing steer clear because she enjoys deep and detailed essays

Don't do it. She babies her students like we're in middle school. You have to write multiple drafts for even the short papers. You have to fill out stupid worksheets for sources in your final paper. It's the only class i dread going to.

I loved her! she describes exactly what she wants in the papers you pass in, and is always there for extra help. I love her class, if your gonna take an english class you want it to be her. you'll deff want to go to the majority of the classes to get a good grade, but they arent boring at all and sometimes she makes the class cookies or brownies.

Kind of a quiet woman, but very very sweet. knows her stuff, very helpful, very clear. She has sort of a hard time getting an uninterested class to talk. I would definitely take her again, but maybe for a high level course.

She has been one of my favorite professors at westfield so far. Very nice, helpful, and a fair grader. She gives a lot of reading, but if you do it and listen in class it's not that hard. She has a lot of class discussion and she wants to hear everyone's opinion. I really enjoyed this class and this professor. I highly recommend her!

she's a really sweet, quiet, soft-spoken woman. hard not to like her even if you don't like english class. not too difficult and not too easy. just read and write papers and you'll do ok. she doesn't grade too hard. she likes a little class participation. shows movies to go with some of the stories which is helpful.

Professor Star is the sweetest lady ever! She is so nice and understanding. I had her for major british writers which I dreaded but it was not bad at all. I found it to be quite easy. The books were well choosen and interesting. I would deff. take another class with her again!
