Comment:

One of the most sweetest professors ever! She really cares about you and is willing to help you on whatever you need. The labs were super easy and the only homework there was were lab reports and weekly quizzes that you could take up to 3 times. The class can feel like it's dragging at times, but it's worth it if you need a GPA booster.

The extra credit she provides is worthless and honestly doesn't add anything to your grade even if you are borderline, so its not worth doing. Final exam contained stuff professor did not say would be on exam. Midterm and assignments are easy. Professor makes class very interesting.

There is no proffesor in UCI who is clearer and easier than her. Easiest class ever, but still learned a lot. No concepts. just memorizations. but memorizations a piece of cake as the exams are almost straight off the practice exams given before the tests.

Extremely easy class like everyone else is saying. She really cares about oceanography and cares about students doing well. Attend all lectures, don't buy book, do all hw, go to dis for help. HW is hardest part of class, IMHO. There is redemptive HW to make up any missed points. All test material will be from lecture, so take good notes.

OKAY THIS MUST BE THE EASIEST CLASS EVER. NO TEXTBOOK NEEDED. EXTRA CREDIT/DROP QUIZ/ DROP HW...WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK? SHE WANTS EVERYONE TO DO WELL AND THE MIDTERM/FINAL WASN"T TOUGH AT ALL. The class wasn't as interesting as I'd hope (Oceanography). Majority of students zone out in class. 4 HW assignments, go to Discussion to get help, seriously. One redemptive HW, do it. iClicker points each class. One midterm, one final, not cumulative. Studied the night before and got a B on both. I'm sure if I tried harder, I would've gotten an A.

people need to stop rating before the final... but anyways, this class seemed hard at first, but it really isn't. it seems like she wants everyone to get a good grade. i ended up with an A+ and studied for only like 1.5 hours. make sure you go to class for iClickers though. and HW is a little tough, borrow the book or something.

LEGIT CLASS! Just show up with a clicker and do the homework (she drops the lowest score). You don't need to buy the book, just study the lecture slides before the midterm/final and they are EASY! She's actually nice and understanding for a professor, too. If you need to, get on the waitlist! She will get you in the class for sure.

Dr. Druffel is the nicest professor at UCI. She genuinely wants her students to do well & provides multiple opportunities to gain points. The course material is a little dry, but that's not her fault! She tries to make it as interesting as possible, and as long as you come to class and do the homework, you will do well in her class.

Class is boring, but you definitely should come to class in order to get the i-clicker points, which is worth 15% of your grade. Midterm is only hard for those who do not know how to study properly for this kind of class. Try to get Wei Mei for TA, he is great! Class is semi-easy, it requires it's own share of studying.

Super-easy and overall, pretty interesting class. You can breeze by it just by going to the lectures and doing the hw. It's also a good idea to read the book, as it does go over the material in depth (completely unnecessary for the class). The hw assignments, though easy, were definitely harder than her exams.

very helpful prof. willing to review your score if you think something is wrong, class is mandatory since she does give quizzes but you get full credit just for your writing your name, some exam questions come right off the TA review, hw or quiz, overall a very easy class

I seriously didn't even take a full page of notes the entire quarter, nor did I read the book. Study the lecture notes and the test reviews she posts and you'll be fine. Discussion is not necessary. The most challenging part of the class was the hmwk. But she gives a redemptive hmwk assignment to earn back missed pts on other hmwks do that= Easy A.

attendance is mandatory (random quizzes for easy points). go to discussions if you need help (sometimes get a few answers to hw). first hw was hard but the rest was easier. do redemptive homework! read the book for more comprehension but you're only tested on what's from lecture (take good notes b/c slides don't have all the info).
