Great prof! Extremely knowledgeable and has practical real-life examples that relate to the course work. Many assignments were individual projects, which really challenge you to think and get creative. If you prefer very prescriptive hand-holding instructors (e.g., "your paper must be X words/pages in this exact format") she may not be for you.

Extremely difficult grader, does not even get the first portfolio feedback until after the second portfolio was turned in. If nobody asks if it is your birthday, or how old you are, do not need to feed your ego after you tell us

Lots of busy work, not always clear on requirements, however Ellen is very organized, very knowledgeable,enthusiastic, and always willing to answer questions. If you do not like to write, do not take this class, if you don't mind, then I would highly recommend her.

liked me at first, then for some reason she got very judgmental of me and my grades started to get worse, even though I scored well on everything and showed up every class? hmmmm? ended up with a lot worse grade than any other class I've ever taken.

we had three writing assignments, and a group project. whats cool is that the 3 assignments tie into the group project so you dont have to do a lot for that project. i think the class is easy. she was probably bangin' back in the day too, so thats always cool. and i almost forgot, u can opt out of the midterm and final by doing another gay project.
