Very intelligent professor. I have taken her for 3 semesters and she's been great. Just do homework, read, and participate. The readings may be boring but they aren't long, I hate reading but I managed to earn an (A). I recommend her. She's passionate about teaching.

I really enjoyed this class! She is big on participation so volunteer or you're called on. It's in your best interest to read the work and take some notes simple as that. The amount of reading is totally manageable. 2 2-4p essays, 2 5-7p essays, 1 in class essay, and 1 short presentation. She takes attendance! Recommended for sure!

Great teacher, great class. Has you write a short fiction piece, a poem, and a play (you'll do revisions throughout the class). Wants you to participate but goes out of her way to help you. I had a great time in her class and she's a really nice lady. Definitely recommend her class.

This class was good. Not my favorite, but I didn't dislike it. It as a nice, relaxing break. And although I have no interest in creative writing, I enjoyed reading the stories we came up with as a class. It was definitely worth taking, and also a pretty easy A.

In most of my other English classes, the teacher lectures and we take notes. Wakerman opens up the discussion, and its really stimulating. She cares about what we have to say. She may not be the easiest grader, but my writing improved because she writes helpful notes on essays. I actually enjoyed going to her class. TAKE HER IF YOU CAN.

Wakerman is a difficult woman. She knows her stuff and she will (try to) help if you ask, but she's unclear in her expectations, which are SPECIFIC. Your papers must reiterate her opinion to receive an A. She's subjective, so you want to be on her good side. Work load is fair. Stay away if you need a certain grade for your GPA she's unpredictable.

Prof. Wakerman is a really great teacher. She explains really well, but normally goes over the class time, and is a bit disorganized. There is a lot of homework, but if you pay attention you should be able to get a good grade. I would recommed her to anyone who wants to take an easy English class.

She's awesome! not sure if it was because i had an amazing group of talented people in my class but one of the best classes ive ever taken. She really cares about her students. Great and amazing professor. Fun class, appropriate essays and rubric fromat. Overall, enjoyable if you like the subject, very helpful professor who is interested in her students and making them better writers. She's not the best, but not the worst.. we used to have discussion after each homework, and if you didn't answer one of the questions she'll consider you didn't do the home work and mark your name at her grade book. She'll sometimes make fun of your answers or your writing. Don't take her :)

Professor Wakerman is the best english professor i have ever had. her class is fun and esay. she gives hw, but its really easy and helpful. 3 essays and 3 in-class essays. the best thing about her is that she'll read over your drafts and correct every single thing. take her!!!
