Dr. Cordeiro is such a cool professor. She shows that really wants her students to learn, but you really need to go to each class to understand the material. She gives frequent assignments, but they are all pretty short (approx 30 min per night). She may move a little fast but is more than happy to offer help outside of class. Highly recommend her!

A very genuine and all around great lady. Will definitely make you laugh during class and keep you interested in what is being taught. She is sure to get everyone in the classroom to participate and will call on students randomly to answer questions. You will enjoy this class regardless of what level you take with her.

Comment:

Very enjoyable class. Hadn't taken spanish in years and felt very comfortable with the class. Lots of quizzes but needed in order to keep up and they are not hard as long as you study. One group oral project, definitely practice before. Overall, great professor!

This class was more work than any Spanish class I had taken. She was a never hard grader but because of that I learned so much and my writing improved immensely. She really cares about her students and wants them to improve. I wish she taught more upper level classes. I would take another class with her if I could!

Very easy going teacher..she doesn't sweat the small things. Keeps class engaged without embarrasing students. Work load is normal and not over the top. Small oral presentation near the end of semester that she grades VERY easily on. I really enjoyed the class and her.

Down to earth, honest (sometimes a little too honest), entertaining, very knowledgeable native speaker. Not afraid to start class discussions, even if controversial topics. Might seem a little intense at first, but you will soon discover how wonderful she is. Expects you to do some work, but understands this one class cannot be your life. DEF TAKE!

Dr. Cordeiro is my favorite professor-ever! She is an amazing woman who has lead a fascinating life. She knows a lot of facts about Latin America that you won't learn anywhere else. She is also extemely nice and very helpful. I learned a lot from her.
