He's a nice & funny guy but he's a tough teacher. Only a midterm & a final, both very hard. Majority of people in my class didn't do well on both. Assigns homework to be handed in every week. Do them because it helps your grade in the end. One group project with a paper, which was basically a grade booster as well. Would not take him ever again.

Good teacher, but he is very difficult to understand because of his accent. There is extra credit. Hes a fair grader. Nice guy. Grades homwork which helps with grades. DO NOT buy the access code until class starts. The syllabus says its necessary but we havent used it all semester. Save yourself the $$. Hes pretty funny.

Cost Management with Shim was a nightmare, he has a thick accent and you cannot understand him. He teaches off powerpoints which dont correlate to his tests. His tests are IMPOSSIBLE. CPA questions. midterm, final, 1 group project w presentation. strongly recommend you do not take cost management with him - YOU WILL NOT PASS

Material was difficult to understand - or maybe it was the way he taught it - all PowerPoint teaching. Some extra credit opportunities given which was the only thing that saved me from repeating the course. Average grade was a B- for my class.

Dr. Shim is a great guy...he is very helpful and makes things very clear. His tests (midterm and final) are tough, but he gives you plenty of extra credit oppurtunitys. Definetly take him if you have the chance, hes one of the best professors at SHU.

Dr. Shim is the man. First class with him you'll be very intimidated; he calls himself the hardest professor at SHU, but he's a great guy, lots of extra credit chances, very clear lectures. Tells you everything on tests. Just go to class, pay attention, do extra credit and you'll well
