Looking for the best professor ever? Then look no further because you really can't beat Demers! He's the nicest, funniest, and smartest prof in the department.. really nobody can top him. You're going to learn a LOT from him so listen up in class. He's an incredible prof, so if you have the chance to take any of his classes, JUMP on it immediately!

Eric is the best prof I've had! His specialty is ornithology (bird studies) and he is incredibly knowledgable. The labs were super enjoyable (bird banding!). He expects you to know very specific info, his slides are the study material. Lab exam was rough but for midterms just study hard and you'll do great! If you love animals, take this course!:)

Great teacher but BE WARNED if you are taking Vertebrates of BC be prepared to be able to identify 400 birds, most males and females, along with all mammals. Final lab exam is accumulative as well 500 animals. Lecture is quite easy (taught by Jane watson) but I wish I had not taken this course from having to do the lab.

Eric is one of the best professors I have had at VIU! He always wants to make sure his students succeed. Labs were fun, as you get to do a considerable amount of fieldwork. Tests were hard, he makes you work for your grade. Focuses on both memorization and conceptual knowledge. Eric is always very helpful during his office hours. Awesome prof!

I've been in school for over 6 years at two different institutions; Eric is hands down the best prof I've had yet. Smart, funny and reasonable. Sure, you'll have to work hard for your 'A' . . . but why shouldn't you?

Eric is a really nice guy and a decent teacher but his tests are a little ridiculous. He wants you to know every detail about everything. You will study the material, go in for the test, come out thinking you did okay and receive 65% because of the wording of questions and the detail he wants. Alright teacher but make sure you know the material.

Eric is a super-nice and interesting professor. I liked that his tests involved critical thinking and not simply memorization. This is one of the few courses with no textbook; sometimes I wished that there was a textbook!

Good professor. Not a fan of the powerpoint slides though. Labs were awesome. He teaches in a clear manner. Exams were challenging; they make you think deep about the course material but that's what you would expect from a third year biology course. I would take him again. Overall, a top-notch professor. Look forward to having him in Biometrics.
