Very engaging and interested in lit, but VERY difficult. There are about 150 dates (not pertaining to lit) to memorize (quizzes!) and the exams will be a single line from a reading and you have to give title, author, and publishing date. Ridiculous expectations for a core class. A lot of work to pass, but possible if you're dedicated enough.

Where do I begin, Professor Link is the best teacher of any subject I have ever had. he is engaging, intelligent, provocative , and challenging. What you will learn in his class, both through guided discussion and your own reading, is greater than what you will learn in any other class in college. Simply outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To succeed in his course, keep up with your readings and memorize your notes. Readings might be a problem since there's a lot, but just pace yourself and focus on class notes. AMAZING professor, one of the best I've ever had. Hilarious, and thoroughly knows his stuff. Highly recommended! You have not truly lived if you haven't taken his class : )

His was my most difficult class. But I also learned more under him than any of the other professors in Lang/Lit. He's brilliant. However, his tests totally suck. You have to memorize long lists of stuff. It's difficult to make a good grade on his exams. His classes are very interesting, though. Never, ever boring. Plus, he's easy to look at.

It's a Lit class and all he teaches is the history of the stories. If you like history and memorizing dates then take the class, but if you don't then stay away. It's such a hard class, plus he gives way too much reading for an assignment.

He is an AWESOME teacher, & he is fun too! I had to withdraw from the 1st class I had with him. Later, when I took him for Literature, I really worked hard and did well. I wish I could take him again! I learned more than just Literature, and he is smart and VERY interesting! Overall, a great guy!
