He's ok. What rubbed me the wrong way was how easy he claimed the exams to be, when the quotes he gave us had no context and were very obscure. Even experts had probably not memorized every word of the plays. No pressure, considering two exams and two papers are the ENTIRE grade.

Eric definitely has a spark of madness in him, but that's what makes him and his class interesting. He is funny and passionate about the material and as a Shakespeare expert, you can't help but have his enthusiasm rub off on you. He makes Shakespeare enjoyable. I highly recommend him.

Good sense of humor that makes lectures interesting. He has two big 8-10 page papers in the semester, and your T.A. really makes your grade. The tests weren't bad, and he gives you the questions and answers beforehand.

He is a wonderful teacher, I actually remembered things! I hated missing lecture because he made them so interesting. It was more like acting than lecturing. And try to get Beau Rogers as your TA. You need to read, or he gets frustrated, but he is the easiest TA of all of them and I got an A without even trying.

I was not looking forward to this class going in, but he kept it interesting. His lectures are not mandatory, but they were entertaining. There was a lot of reading and writing. 2 papers, one midterm, one final. Easy class if you put the effort in.

Well... He was a funny guy and made the class interesting. But, he give REDICULOUS essay topic that make it hard to write 10 pages on. Also, if you e-mail him he will give you a rude answer. I enjoyed the material (well my own research, because he taught us absolutely nothing) but I did not enjoy him.

Rasmussen is an AMAZING teacher! I love Shakespeare already, but he made it ten times more interesting. Do not ditch his class because it is actually fun to go to!

Such a great professor! It was very clear what would be on the exams. He let us see the questions and then he answered them and we studied the answers. He was very funny and a great speaker. Take this class! It was one of my favorites because of him!

I had him for three courses. Has an amazing wealth of knowledge, not just on Shakespeare (his main interest) but in general all around. Funny, engaging, enthusiastic - it's a pleasure going to his classes. Highly recommended!

eric is such an amazing professor, he cares about his students and wants to get to know each one of them personally. he is a fair grader and a GREAT lecturer, the information was never boring, he brought out the more racy sides of what we read. lectures are only ever about 20 minutes and discussions the same, don't take anyone else for ch 201!
