Illustration: Great teacher! Lectures are interesting, doesn't take attendance but everyone comes anyway because he's that great! 2 essay tests but he gives you the essays beforehand to make outlines and bring them to the test! ID quizzes on 10 images! No textbook. 1 comparison paper, 1 research. Don't take it bc its easy, take it bc its GREAT!

Took him for 2 classes and plan on taking every other class he teaches at UF. He is my favorite professor, bar none. He is super helpful, extremely knowledgeable of the subjects he teaches, and made me love American Art--Every kind. He is cute and funny, and not boring at all. TAKE HIS CLASSES!

Dr. Segal is a great professor, very knowledgeable and interesting. Instead of the typical slide ID that most ARH professors test with, he gives essay format tests and tells you the questions in advance. really enjoyed his class and its with a little work its not too hard to do well.

I took him for american illustration, I will say he is very understanding and kind however he is very disorganized, fair grader and test giver though, overall he is defintely not the best art history teacher and not the worst haha
