Great professor. Very few readings, nearly all of the necessary information comes from the in class lectures. His lectures are very interesting and easy to follow. He writes all of his notes on the board instead of using PowerPoint, so note taking in class is a must. You'll learn a lot in his class, but won't have an overwhelming amount of work.

Great professor, has a different teaching style but that is easy to get used to. He teaches the material very well and has an extensive knowledge of auditing. Just participate, study before the quizzes, and be prepared and it is more than possible to get an A.

Great Teacher. Class format is very discussion based which leads to somewhat erratic note taking, but if you pay attention and participate you'll learn the material. Quizzes can be a little tricky but certainly not unfair. Overall, one of my favorite professors at OSU - highly recommend

He's OK. He takes the time to answer questions in class. Quizzes are tricky, but they are meant to help understand the material. Audit is a difficult course to understand without hands on experience, and the cases help in this manner. It seems that those who scored higher may have had intern experience.

Great guy and professor. Very easy grader on cases and articles which take no time Quizes can be tricky and the only test was the final.He really cares about you and seems to love teaching. His lecture and note style takes some getting used to though. You will find yourself randomly laughing in class. Go to class and participate! Highly recommend.

Great professor, highly recommended for Audit. He is very clear on everything, and will often go into deep detail and give great examples. Don't bother with the book as long as you go to class though. Tests/quizzes can have some tricky questions, but he's just testing your knowledge, not trying to trick you on purpose.

Prof. Spires was fantastic. The cases and articles were well chosen. Quizzes and exams weren't very difficult. Textbook isn't necessary, but it helped on clarifying some topics we didn't discuss thoroughly in class. He's great if you talk to him in office hours. Highly recommended!

The best accounting teacher I've had at OSU. This guy really cares about his students and really cares about what he teaches. Tests aren't bad, homeworks are easy as long as you turn them in. Class participation can make or break your grade. I would highly recommend taking Prof Spires for Audit. Great teacher
