This class has nothing to do with entrepreneurship. We learn more about Industrial Operations Engineering more than anything else. He just throws assignments at you and expects you to understand the material. Yea office hours are great, but if I spend my life in there, whats the point of going to class. The business plan project is a terror.

Svaan is a really awesome guy, and I could definitely tell that he cared about his students. You could tell he loved the topic of operations, and wanted to be there *teaching* students about it.

Eric Svaan is one of the nicest professors you will ever have. However, ES212 is formatted as a 3-hour lecture which *really* drags on friday mornings. Grading criteria is sometimes pretty ambiguous and the content is kind-of surface level but it will be a good class if you want a quick intro into becoming an entrepreneur

Some material could be interesting but it's buried in three hour lectures that are just way too hard to focus in. The group project is fine if you have a good group. The exam was harder than expected.

Eric is brilliant!! He has an incredibly personable style of lecturing, and he is ALWAYS willing to go out of his way to help out a student or group. The class itself proposes a few challenging team projects and personal problem sets, but they're all fair and in good taste. One of the most quirky and interesting professors I've had yet. Take him!!

Excellent Professor. If you are in Ross, you deserve to take his class. Well worth the $ 6 K you will spend. His classes are too much work, but the concepts are learnt through case studies and simulations. Oh yes, be ready for cold calling.

Obscene amount of work required for this class. Little explanation on materials. Very unprofessional in Student-Professor discussion. Unpleasant experience overall. I would recommend taking this class with another professor.

Svaan is a great professor and an overall great person. If you respect him, he respects you. If you show up late, text, fall asleep in class, etc he will call you out and i respect him more for that. exams are fair but challenging. he will go out of his way to make sure you enjoy the class if you show interest in the topics.

Eric's enthusiasm and the case work make this class interesting. Very heavy assignment load though - especially for students working full time and taking other classes as well. On a personal level, Eric seems to be a genuinely nice guy, but he can sometimes be abrupt or curt in class.

A really passionate professor who may not have a Ph.D but makes up for it by knowing the material and integrating it in real world examples. Should be a full professor instead of an adjunct. Nice guy as well.

Has a passion for the subject material which makes for more interesting lectures. Assigns lots of casework which can be time-consuming. While he's a nice guy, he can be a bit curt at times. More sensitive students will confuse that with rudeness.
