I had him for IFS 2025, a class on adoption and surrogacy. I took it for pure interest in the subject and loved the class. He's a really awesome guy and the class is pretty easy but you'll have to read 4 books, which isn't too bad. There are also multiple papers which he grades purely on grammatical correctness. So just proof read and you're good!

Took his class for an honors seminar. He is by far one of the best teachers i've had at FSU. If you have any chance to take one of his classes I would definitely take the opportunity. He rambles a little at times but his lectures are fascintating. Great guy and great teacher I would recommend his class to everyone!

Took him for a history of Jane Austen. His lectures are very insightful and fun to listen to, but he tends to ramble. We read every single book by Jane Austen. Tests were based on the reading, which was pretty easy. Only two essays. He graded very fairly. Would take him again.

British Romantic Literature - One of the best professors I've had in all 4 years! He is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the poetry and loves passing that on to his students! He's also quite funny and a very fair grader. It is important to attend class in order to do well on the exams, but you'll want to because it's so much fun!

Highly enjoyable class for such a dry subject. He made me laugh at British Lit Poetry. Extremely brilliant in this area - you can't BS a paper and expect an A. Going to class makes tests so much easier..plus its enjoyable! Take a class wit him before graduation!

Outstanding professor. Makes a terribly boring subject (British Romantic Poetry) interesting and fun. Highly recommended- he is great!

Brilliant professor with unreal knowledge on the subject matter. All Eng. majors should take at least one course with him before they graduate. Makes the most dry subject (Romantic Brit. Poetry) palatable. Grade based off combination of papers and tests centered primarily around contextual and biographical readings, making attendance a must.

he's a very chill guy who's happy to help. rarely in his office...hard to establish a face to face relationship (better by e-mail), but he will answer your questions and he's usually pretty darn nice. he looks intimidating, but i think he's just a great big teddy bear...once you forget the fact that he's a head honcho in the dept...hehe

Highly recommended prof. Very knowledgable, really makes the material (dry brit. poetry) interesting. 4 semesters later, he still recognizes my face and says hello. NOTE: you must attend lecture to pass this class!
