I had him for Chem 161 lecture and Chem 162 lab. Have some understanding of basic chem, or else you won't understand his lecture well. Tests really focus on vocabulary, math, and concepts, so read the textbook. Don't ask questions during class, he'll tell you it throws off his train of thought. Overall, if you're good at chemistry, take the class.

You have got to really study the book and your notes in order to do well in his class. He is big on vocab and math problems. Loves and Knows Chemistry very well, but he's not a really people person. He gets a lot better second semester. oh and if you ever wanna waste a class just ask him about water he could ramble on for hours about it.

He loves Chemistry, but to the point that he doesn't understand why some students find it difficult. He is a very pessamistic guy. Your only grades are your tests and labs, so take great care for the first test. He threw a bunch of pop quizes on us the first couple of days.
