I had herberg for comp 1 as well and that definitely helped. She tries to be edgy but it is cliche. However that makes it really easy to tailor your papers toward her style. Just do the work and youll pass

Comment:

Herberg is the head of the comp department and she is very passionate about her work. Basically if you do the work and veer your papers towards edgy/ different topics youll pass with flying colors. Not a very hard class.

She was pretty okay. I personally thought the topics for our essays were mostly interesting. She kind of gives you an "umbrella" topic that you can interpret on your own and do what you want with. I do think that I learned how to write better from her. The only issue s that her lectures are boring and she can get kind of annoying herself.

She's the professor in charge of the Comp 1 and 2 programs and definitely knows her stuff. She's really nice. Told us we were getting like 5 quizzes and we only got 1. The main gripe about this class is that you literally have one topic the entire semester and you have to continually write essays about writing your final essay (think inception).

This course sucks. Teacher is a scatterbrain who won't give you good grades unless you are a master of essays. All you do is write papers, get back crap grades, fix the paper, and then still get a crap grade. I worked so hard on the rediculous portfolio ASSignment only for her to give me a D as a final grade. F*** this f****** course!

Yet again, the class was terrible. She never returns emails, she leaves class early & states, "You know where to reach me!" How can we reach you when you never answer emails? Final was filled with numerous grammatical errors and it was posted 3 days late without a change in the due date. Do not take this professor.

Great lady..lets you pick your research topic which makes this class the most fun comp2 class in the country..doesnt grade that hard at all..if your a good writer youll be fine..very nice and extremely helpful..really wants her students to do well..i really reccomend her for comp2

She's nice. The class is a lot of work though. But, you basically sit on the computers during class and she kind of expects you to only be half paying attention. I never minded going to this class...sometimes it didn't even feel like a class, until I spent the weekend working on a paper.

If you want to become a better writer and learn how to think critically and deeply take this class! Very nice lady! She will answer any questions and will even work with you after class. Interesting and fun writing projects. You will work hard for your grade but it is worth it!

pretty easy, there is always homework-readings and responses. 2 essays, a bib, and a huge research paper. she is really nice and really helpful. lets you revise and hand in essays as many times as you want. can be scatterbrained at times, however she is an awesome professor! oh and always lets you out early!

Professor Herberg is a very nice lady, but is also quite the scatterbrain. She is very lazy when it comes to grading and is not always clear about assignments. Her lectures are also extremely dry and boring. However, she is relatively helpful and I would recommend her for CCII. Not a difficult prof. but not the most interesting either.

The worst professor I've had at Rowan. A scatterbrain, unclear about assignments and due dates. Hand numb from taking notes & she talks too fast to get them all, never uses book, and tests strictly from notes. Her class is SO confusing. Stay away!

The worst Prof I've had. Unclear direction on most assignments. Changes the assignment due dates on a whim. For being a Dr. you would think she would have it better together. Take this Prof only as a last resort.
