WOW , made me love mathematics, however it is the most challenging math class I have ever taken even started to read a math textbook was grasping for air all the semester a lot of work but I would say its worth it gpa was affected tho

He is specialized in precalc and he is a good teacher, but his standards are very high. His tests are extremely difficult, and he grades harshly. I stuck around, gave this class pretty much everything I had, spent hours a day studying, and even got a private tutor and I still didn't pass. I don't recommend him unless you're very talented.

Professor Ramsey is amazing!! He explains all the material covered very well and made a difficult course much easier to understand. An A is definitely "do-able" as long as you put the necessary work in. You can tell how passionate he is about teaching/mathematics, which makes his class more enjoyable as well. Definitely recommend taking him!

professor Ramsey is among the top professors at SMC. His lectures are in detail and he doesn't skip anything. He dedicates himself to his students by offering an hour of extra study sessions both before and after class, which everyone should go to for better understanding. He offers extra credit for each exam and he's a fair grader. TAKE HIM!!!

Don't take this professor he is ridiculous when you are absent you will need to let him know no calculators on tests or quizzes or the final does not drop any exams or quizzes is not a good professor he sucks do yourself a favor and take someone else.

Professor Ramsey is AMAZING. He is so caring and really shows it in his lectures. He devotes so much time to helping his students learn. Make sure you attend his study sessions before class as they're very helpful. His tests are fair and he gives plenty of extra credit opportunities! Overall, GREAT person and professor. I HIGHLY recommend him! :)

This man is Royalty at Santa Monica College. Don't waste your time in his class if you are not willing to put in the hours to studying. Like he says "An A is DOABLE". His math problems are MIT, and Stanford caliber. Many students leave his class wanting to become mathematicians. He also has great stories which he shares to the class.

Best prof. to take for Math 2. Hosts workshops every class day an hour before and a half hour after class. He has office hours & is available through email. The amount of time and effort he puts into his class leaves you no reason to fail. He isn't easy, but if you put in the work you will succeed and be the best prepared for future math classes.

WooWow wow wow, what can say about Professor Ramsey, he is an inspiration to many students that have taken his course. One of the most hardest working professors at SMC. Take Professor Ramseys class and you will be set for Calculus. Attend his workshops and dont skip his lectures. An A is doable, just have to put in the work. Truly blessed

Definitely a professor worth your time and energy. Go to his study sessions, attend his lectures, and do the homework! Fair grader, some extra credit on exams, and manages to make the difficult material interesting and fun. His passion for teaching and math really shows.

Proffesor Ramsey was the best precalculus proffesor or the best proffesor to prepare you in taking advanced mathematics. He went beyond any proffesors to make sure you succeed. I took him over the summer and now I'm in calc 2 but thanks to him I learn the essentials that enable me to succee in calculus courses. Anyhow prepare to study and do HW

The most amazing professor on campus. I was really really bad in math during all my school but with this teacher math become fun. He is a true mathematician. Obsessed with numbers. He is also very sarcastic. However, he's approach to the subject is intimidating. He made feel like I was embarking on mission impossible. I dont like pressure, i prefer simplified material.

Textbook is needed. He will drop you if you miss one class and don't let him know. I got barely an A even though I had 3 perfect quizzes and 1 perfect exam. It is a hard class. There are 5 exams,8 quizzes and a final. Final is cumulative. You have to be good at math if you want to get an A. Professor is helpful. Your participation does not count

First of all don't bother crashing. If you don't know the material you might have hard time in exams but he helps you a lot. Definitely not an easy class. If you are not a math person you won't get an A. Gives extra credit work for every exam. I highly recommend you to go his sessions before class.
