He was pleasant & open (even excited) to questions from the class. He expects you to study at home and review your notes rather than to show the same thing over and over again. Some complain but we are not here to be coddled. Not keen on the 3 multiple choice tests as they are too black and white but like the chance to make up markes w/presentation.

oh man.. we used to call this class "Doakanomics/Jokeanomics" cause the class was a major joke. This man can't teach. We all sucked so bad cause he couldn't teach that he eventually allowed us to have an open book exam. BORING!

Doak does not teach this class well. He is monotone and cannot keep the attention of the class. He does very little teaching and instead assigns problems all class period, which he won't help you with if you have problems.Tests are too hard for the way he teaches the material

UGHHHH...if you NEED to take economics DO NOT take it with this guy!! It's hell and if you do not need economics AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS!! The material is average (not too hard, not too easy), but with a prof who mumbles and answers your question with a question, it SUCKS! He's very smart, but I think he lacks good teaching skills.

He speaks really low and rarely explains what he is talking about. You can't understand him when he answers your question. The class is made up of 3 tests and no final exam which is a bonus! Class work isn't bad if you read the book. Follow along in the book and you'll do fine.

Prof. Doak doesn't answer questions properly, he's mumbles, he only has 3 tests that count for your whole term and his class is very unorganized and vague. DO NOT REGISTER INTO HIS CLASS!

Ok, where the hell do i begin, IF you take this course, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT have him as a prof, he's a nice guy, however he's teaching methods are unclear, actually, he doesn't teach, he assigns questions, walks around the class, puts the answers on the board.Seriously get a different prof.

Very boring teacher. The classwork is basic and the tests are tougher only because you don't expect them to be. Prepare for the tests and you'll do fine (if you can stay awake).

He is a really bad teacher. He seems to be a nice enough guy but he is a bad teacher. His tests aren't that hard if you go to class and do the work.It isn't challenging.I did fall asleep a lot in class but it was an 8:30 class. He tries but still boring.Read the book and you should do well.

Best economics teacher I have ever had. Who cares if he's monotone? At least he's monotone in perfect English instead of someone speaking with English as their second language.

This is the worst class you could land in.He speaks in monotone, and he talks about things that are not related to the course. As well as: the things he teaches in class are easier than the questions on the exams, and some questions come out of no where. It would be a challenge to do well in his course.
