An amazing professor and researcher, truly an expert and pioneer in her field. Not to be unfair to other commenters, but students who didn't like her class were usually just upset at actually having to learn brain anatomy. She was very helpful and taught from her own experience in the field, which in these days of test banks, was very refreshing.

Horrible professor!!! My interest wasn't terribly high in the subject to begin with but I don't think it could possibly sink any lower after taking this class. She made coming to class, for those who didn't just sleep in, the slowest 90 minutes to ever pass. The midterms tested tiny details that you can't hope to know unless neuropsych is your life

Strauss is perhaps the WORST prof i've ever had! she's a nice lady but hasn't a clue when it comes to delivering a lecture. The class was boring and dry; she managed to make the BRAIN a dull topic. Oh, and her tests are RIDICULOUSLY tough and the text is useless.

This is the most boring class I have ever taken with anyone. With all the respect, she is a very nice person and obviously very intelligent. However, she is not a good teacher. Every class is boring, slow and not interesting. Tests are hard and detailed.

Lectures are extremely boring. Reads off power point slides. Quiet speaker and difficult to hear at times. Her tests are super hard and it's difficult to find a pattern to her testing. Overall, she's boring and you'll find you self sleeping in more instead of going to her class.

This prof is amazing. She really helped me through my university years. She cares about her students and loves teaching. She used examples from her research which I thought really helped. Her T.A's did mark most of the stuff, but if I had a problem I just went to her. Overall, She is cool.

Easy tests but horrible in lecture :| too quiet and missed a lot of classes. STOP MOVING THE MIDTERMS!!! And mark them yourself or at least look at them when the TA can't mark them right

An extraordinarily knowladgeable professor, really knows of what she speaks. The classes are a joy to be at, her examples are all from real life, and often from her own research. Definitly an amazing professor in all regards.
