She is wonderful, as a professor and as a person. She does have a few pop quizzes so watch out for that. And youll write a bunch of papers. If you miss class without let her know, big no no.

I was VERY scared when western had changed my professor to Bonds because she did not have the best reviews. I was ready to drop the class. I am so glad I didnt! Professor Bonds is a WONDERFUL person. She cracks jokes and is very helpful. I never wrote a paper in high school and she read over all of my papers to make sure I was doing it correct.

Mrs. Bonds makes you work for your grade but isn't unfeasible as long as you don't expect an essay A. She has such a kind soul and I honestly want to be her friend outside of class. There is a lot of reading but nothing is unbearable.

Mrs. Bonds is very knowledgeable but she does expect a lot from her students. There is A LOT of textbook readings for this course and you have to read every assignment to do well on the tests. She will fail your paper if you forget to turn it into to SafeAssign so be sure to do that. She is overall a very kind woman and she's really funny at times.

Mrs. Bonds expects so much as if her class was the only one that mattered. I ended stressing on not failing, I focused on her work and started falling on my other classes. She gives a ridiculous amount of work. I always had excellent grades on my essays. I would go to sleep at 6 am to make sure the essay is "perfect" and I would always get a C-

Professor Bonds is a very exceptional teacher. Unlike most professors, there is no surprise assignments, everything you do is on the syllabus. So, she is very orderly. Yeah, she is a tough grader, but in the end, she will do what she can to help borderline failing students. I would highly recommend!

Mrs. Bonds is a kind woman and good teacher. She isn't the one of the best, but she isn't horrible. Her lectures are long and seem to drag on, but can be interesting at times. She doesn't assign a novel, but get ready to read a lot out of the textbook. She gives half-full page response assignments to readings often.

Both of my parents are English majors and very good writers (graduated from William and Mary). I wrote my papers and my parents checked them, and I barely got a B in this class. She's a very harsh grader and won't let you rewrite a paper. A lot of her grading seems totally illogical.

Straight forward .. You get out what you put in and she's fair .. I loved her class because she is enthusiastic & shows compassion for what she does .. Not to mention she has an delightful sense of humor .. Do NOT take her class if you are simply trying to whim by with a handout .. Would recommend for students that want to actually to learn!!!

On the first day, and even the first week, I thought I was going to hate her. She does not allow phones and attendance is required. She appears very bland. I now love Mrs. Bonds. She gives clear lectures and is excellent at teaching you how to write essays. Her essays are easy if you follow directions. Easy homework. The only test is the final.

I am not a fan of English what so ever. Bonds is not a easy teacher. Her grades are very stern but if you listen you and pay attention you will learn what you need to. Attendance is mandatory in this class after 5 missed days it points off your grade, no cell phones points off your grade. I started with C's on my paper by the end I had B's

Mrs. Bonds is a knowledgable prof. She has some cute habits like saying "Make certain..." Make certain that you turn in EVERYthing, and turn stuff into blackboard. She grades a little harshly on papers, make sure they are analytical! In all, she knows her stuff and has been doing this for a while, she doesn't mess around.

She's a fun teacher, when you understand that you absolutely have to do all the work in her class. Most folks are lazy, they get weeded out in the first few weeks. Her classes are tough, but you feel that much better when you're done with them.

I enjoyed the class discussions about the things that we read. She grills people about their opinions but it taught me how to back up my opinions. She was really harsh on grading essays. She seems a little cold and unapproachable, but has a sweet side that shows as well.
