Cordero is entertaining. Loved every single one of his lectures since the Fall semester as this is a year long course. There is a group project with this class that will take an entire school year to develop. Luckily it's one of those courses that covers multiple requirements. Strictly factual. Easy to follow, easy to learn.

He is a good prof. He grades somewhat fairly. He kinda rushed us on our finals but gave pretty good grades on labs. Definitely approachable during office hours.

Nice teacher. He is very passionate about the topic and this shows in his teaching. The class is not very hard but you do need to pay attention. I was not interested in this kind of subject matter before taking this class but it's actually an interesting topic that you can apply to real world things.

His lectures are posted online to be done as homework to be prepared for daily in-class activities. Quiz once a week. Doesn't grade assignments or quizzes to return them, so it's hard to know where one's grade stands. Provides extra credit. Assignments and quiz / test questions become repetitive. Not an easy A.

He is a very laid back, friendly professor who you just have to give a chance. He is the head of a department, so he definatly knows his stuff.

Professor Cordero was an OK teacher. Not my favorite, but not my least favorite either. I sometimes dread coming to class since lectures tend to be boring, but he is a nice guy. I rarely used my book... just borrow it from a friend to read the assigned chapters. He gives ex. credit which is good since this class is not an easy A as I thought.

I took this class last spring and I agree with the comment that when you go to him for help he does give the brush off. You ask other students for help and try to form study groups they act snobby. People walk in and out even when a lecture goes on. Meteorology majors must take METR 61. You have to be perfect or he gets upset. good luck

This was the worst class I took at SJSU and in my college career and I really regret taking this class. Not only is it boring, but he is not helpful to any student. Take this class with a professor that will make things clear and easier for you !

This teacher was pretty easy! Just show up to class to take notes on the lectures. The book is not really necessary, but helpful if you actually read it. His tests are based on his lectures, so go to class! His tests are multiple choice and short answers. Overall, a pretty easy grader.

One of the worst Meteorology instructors out there, He genuinely couldn't care less about the subject, and it shows. Lectures are dull and uninspiring. If you go to him for help, he gives you the brush off. Always acts as if he is better than anyone else.

The lectures are unbelievably boring because of their sheer length (he needs to add more movies). His PowerPoint handouts, which you get online and fill in during lecture are the next best thing to sliced cheese. They are so concise and thorough that I never touched the book. Never miss a day - takes roll & grades heavily on participation.

Do not buy the book. The most important thing is to study the notes very carefully. The midterms and the quizzes aren't too bad. There IS a fair amount of work but this prof is willing to help. His lectures are straight from power point so he gets straight to the point. Highly recommended!

A LOT OF WORK! It's not VERY hard work. But be prepared to do A LOT. He's a really nice and easy going guy. You don't need the text, his powerpoint slides are usually online.
