Comment:
The easiest option for ISE 111. Any Perevalov class is simple. Play on your computer for the whole class, use Chegg for homework , and make use of practice tests to study for exams. Exams are open book/notes, and even though he gives pop quizzes, none of them have been that challenging. Really nice and caring prof, especially after class!

Lectures available to review online--important when completing homework assignments. PPT lectures and example problem walkthroughs completed on the overhead were helpful (some were from the textbook). Complete practice exams and attend class. If book is missing CD (not used in course), you can download the CD material from the publisher's website.

Show up regularly to class and follow along with the PPTs / take notes from the projector / work through practice exams and you should do fine. Prof is available during office hours and can review questions then or in class if asked. Lectures (re)viewable online. MiniTab and Design Expert (DE) used for hw--better documentation for DE at StatEase.

He's alright. Lectures are pretty much straight from the PowerPoint, but the examples are his own. He can go a bit fast on examples, and it's hard to pay attention in class because of it. Homework and tests are pretty easy though, and overall the class wasn't bad.

I had this class very late in the day and was always tired by the time I got there so it was hard to pay attention sometimes. He does explain clearly and slowly-sometimes too slowly. The homeworks were slightly challenging but prepared you for the final. Overall, a solid professor and an interesting class.

He is my favorite professor, same hairstyle and same style T shirt and belts and pants everyday. He is intelligent, class is easy and you would get A, which is even better

Really intelligent guy who know his stuff. Doesn't prepare for the class and just derives on the spot if needed. you wont understand anything that happens in class unless you want to. He explains in great detail if you ask him later. exams are easy, grading easy, home-works are easy. overall good class if you want a grade. you can learn lots too

Perevalov is literally a legend. His Russian accent is sick and his classes are all easy. I will be taking game theory with him because of how chill his classes are. Definitely take his classes as you will receive an A

Go to class occasionally for the micro-quizzes, because they're actually worth a portion of your grade. Other than that, if you copy homework from Chegg and just do the practice exams, you'll be golden for the class.

Comment:
Perevalov is often difficult to understand and not very interesting. However, 121 was my easiest class this semester. Tests were open book, open note and problems were nearly the same as the practice tests. With the exception of weekly-ish homework assignments, and random "micro-quizzes," the class was easy, and attendance not necessary.

Perevalov is the man. Very clear, and a really nice guy. Very very laid back. Pretty easy on the students, but wants them to learn everything still. Just make sure to ask for help if you need it.

Good guy, wants you to learn the material. THe only thing I didn't enjoy was him trying to cram in a lot of work at the end of the semester, but he says he justs wants you to learn the content anyway. Easy grader and wants everyone to get at least a B+.

Although classes may drag on at 75 minutes and assignments are few and far between, I feel like with each assignment, I'm learning something that I'll be able to recall if I ever need to use it again. Graduate level statistics is fun and I'm making at least one friend. I think that anyone wanting to learn will find him amazing. Signed: Ilya ^_^

No one showed up to class, lectured off of slides. Took a couple weeks to get used to Russian accent, but a deecent guy. Open book/note tests, gives solution keys to homeworks and old exams.

Taking his class without stopping by him is not supposed to be done. If you could stop by his office, you will get a lot of useful knowledge by him.

All you have to do to succeed in this course is get the practice test with explanations to the examples, the test are the exact same problems, multiple choice answers, he allows you to bring anything you want to the test and allows unlimited time if you ask for it. Can't get much easier than that :)
