I loathe P-Chem with Stevens. His method of "teaching" is reading power-point slides monotone in a room where you can barely hear. Average on the first test was a 50 so don't expect to get a good grade unless you're a chem wizard. Tests have hardly more than 4-5 questions. And homework sessions are a waste of time. Avoid this man at all costs!!

Very interesting course but he is hands down the worst professor I've ever had. During his office hours all he does is discourage you so that you will leave his office so he can get back to whatever he's doing on the computer. If you're great at answering all your own questions then take it but I wouldn't advise it.

Stevens is tied for best chemistry professor at this school. He knows his stuff, sets clear expectations, and is incredibly chill and funny once you get to know him. The low-level haters have no clue on what a good professor is.

Awesome professor for upper level chemistry if you know what you are doing. Really nice and makes sure that the students actually learn something from the class instead of just regurgitating useless info. Take him only if you actually like chemistry and not just taking it for a requirement

Don't worry about the 107 rants. This guy is good for upper levels, very smart and knowledgeable and makes the class a good learning experience. Even if you aren't great at P chem you'll find that if you put in the work to understand the labs you'll do fine.

What a waste of funding this guy is. Lectures are useless, and he often gave us misinformation about tests and quizzes because Dr.Brennan makes them. His notes are decent for reviewing, but expect to rely heavily on the textbook and Dr.B to make it through.

He is a bit boring, but his exams are not hard at all. He asks really basic stuff and also gives you hits what gonna be on the exams. However, his exams are like only a few problems, and each is worth lots of points. So if you screw up like 2 or 3 problems, you literally fail. But at the end, he gives lots of A and A-

EXTREMELY BORING LECTURES. He has a monotone voice that makes you fall asleep. He posts his lecture notes online so you don't have to go to his class but sometimes they're too simplified. The textbook sucked and now I can't get rid of it. I depended on my TA a lot to makeup for my laziness.

Professor Stevens is the worst professor I have ever had. He leaves all responsiblity to the TAs and teaches pretty much nothing in lecture. He is also very rude and refuses to answers questions and spends most the lecture period trying to throw people out of class.
