Professor Turner is such a sweetheart. His class can be very boring, but if you pay attention you will learn a lot. He usually lectures off of power points that he posts on moodle. Class consists of 1 assignment and 4 tests. He posts study guides well in advance, so if you study and take good notes, there is no reason you shouldn't pass the class.

Professor Turner gives lectures that do not match up with the tests. The majority of the powerpoints are pictures, so you dont really learn that much from it. You need to read the textbook. You have to study in advance for his tests because they are hard. You really need to try in this class to pass. He usually curves the tests though

He is nice and helpful. Yeah his lectures feel long but the material is not as interesting. He is old school and somewhat picky with grades but that DOES NOT MEAN that you wont do good in his class. It means you actually should try in his class to deserve a good grade.

Very Nice professor. Comments below are pretty accurate. He is monotone so hard to always pay attention but extremely nice. Tries to makes jokes but no one would ever laugh. Tests are a little hard but gives study guides. Overall he is a nice professor just a little boring. An okay class.

Turner is very sweet and helpful. He is very monotone, however, he knows his stuff. Sadly, I could not stay awake for his 8am class. I just read the book, answered the study questions at the end of the chapter, read the study guide and got an A. Study guides are very helpful. Textbook is really handy. Especially because it's hard to stay awake.

I hated going to his class. It was so boring, but he's a super nice guy. Towards the end of the semester, only like 20-30 people actually showed up in that 110 ppl lecture class. I hate the ppl that complain that he is hard, but hello? this is college! go to class, listen to the lectures, study for the exam, study guides are helpful! & you'll pass!

Go to class! My mistake was missing out on so many lectures and that is an easy 4% of your grade. His exams are kind of tough. Read your book, sharpen up your study habits and you'll do fine.

Do not take this professor unless you want to fail. He is extrememly boring, very little enthusiasm, and is HORRIBLE at explaining things! He is also hard of hearing. He needs to retire. This has by FAR been my worse class ever.I will never recommend anyone to take his class.And I feel terrible for those who have to from this point on -_-. Goodluck

Every comment here about him is very true, he really knows his stuff but he needs to retire. Hes a nice guy but that doesnt help me. everyday powerpoints for over an hour and his labs are redicously long and confusing. Dont take his class! He grades like you are a proffessional map maker, his exams are trivia questions and not stuff he covered

Turner know his stuff. His lectures are great and packed with info. The problem is that he does not provide efficient examples of the problems/tasks he assigns. When the lab exercises come along, you find yourself lost. You have to pay attention and come to class. Some of the labs were very fun and interesting. I learned a great deal.

Turner will help you with your computer software questions but when it comes to grading final lab assignments he expects perfection as if you are a pro map maker.Study guides are not helpful, be sure to ask him what exactly will be on the test or else u will study 5+ chapters that won't even be asked about. Review his class notes too.

u r getting sleepy... very sleepy.... If you take him, I recommend a triple shot of espresso and a couple red bulls b4 class. Be sure to slap yourself every 2 minutes to avoid slipping into a comma, and think happy thoughts.

Boring! Uggg!! If you can stay awake through his monotonous tone of voice and dry humor you must be on 10 red bulls! He knows his material though. But the boredom level is through the subflooring!
